Yeah that is part of my concern. You don't know what has happened over the 10 years, whether with the world or with the LI's. I mean some of the LI's barely got to know the MC, it would be understandable for them to simply move on with their lives and find partners. But while it is understandable, it would suck for the player and the MC lol. And that was the other point I tried to make when I brought up the LIs, which was just what you said. We just got to know them for the most part, and then we get hit with a 10 year jump, now we have to get to know them all over again. The time jump this early would just seem to make the story convoluted.

I mean it would work if we could follow the girls and see what happens, see how MC's death impacts them, but since we are following MC, we aren't going to be privy to any of the growth or events until an exposition dump. Well I assume. Which the only one with a major connection to MC is Yua, everyone else would just say "sucks he died" and move on . And is MC just gonna be his 20 year old self while everyone else is in their 30s, as you said? Eh Gotta stop speculating and just wait...

That is where my thoughts went when I learned of the time jump but ultimately I don't know how the dev is gonna go about it so it doesn't make much sense to speculate. They might undo the 10 years, might go back and stop the attack, or might just pick up 10 years later and continue the story from there, idk lol will find out though.

I don't think LIs moving on and finding other partners is likely to be a thing. Not sure if you noticed, but so far it seems women in the Human Realm have just... somehow never heard of sex? There's literally LIs that are hundreds of years old, and never even held a guy's hand, or had their first kiss. After going a hundred years without thinking about sexuality, a 10-year wait shouldn't have any effect on them whatsoever.

Firstly, is she really dead?
The sword goddess took part of her spirit and placed it in a body she created. For some stories like this when a cloned body dies that holds part of the main soul, the memories and feelings are transferred to the main from the copies. One example of that is a donghua story called perfect world where one of the characters made several copies of herself and sent them to different worlds to gather experience, cultivation techniques just to increase her overall speed of cultivation. The mc in that story ended up with 2 versions of that character being love interests.
Also, I just want to point out that due to the sword goddess obtaining those memories and feelings she may be the love interest in the future.

i would prefer to not be skeptical but handling the time skip will be a nightmare if he hasn't already figured it out. if he had done it in a way where MC is the only affected by it then that would be fine, but now the dev has to account for it for all the other characters as well. you don't expect for a 25 year old to act the same as a 35 year old.

The time skip shouldn't be much of a problem to be honest as with these types of stories 10 years is nothing, it's like walking to the shop and coming back home and you may recall one or two small things from that experience. Now if it was 100 years or more that's when it will start getting problematic

Thats due to the way they were raised. Chinese women who follow the old values aren't as free with their sexuality as western women. Hell even a woman being in the same room as a man with a door closed is frowned upon and liable to bring potential harm to that family through rumours which would make it difficult for that woman to get a husband in future. Also, some cultivation techniques require a man or women to stay a virgin or they would lose their cultivation completely. I've also seen in one story where a woman popped her hymen and used it's blood to cure the main character because he was at deaths door just because female virgins within her bloodline had special power.

Fair enough, guess I just have a hard time suspending my disbelief on this one thing lol but 10 years isn't as big of a deal when, like you said, people can be well over 100.

I'm not losing sleep over it, and I am pretty sure the dev has any concerns of mine sorted already. Or at least will.

To answer people's questions about the update, it was answered by the dev. Sorry, I don't have the screenshot, my subscription ended a few days ago and I no longer have access to the channel. But basically he said this:

The 10-year timeskip: He doesn't see it as a problem when some people can live for thousands of years. The ending with Yua was just a preview of the next update, but he confirmed that the story will return before the 10 years, so we'll see what happens with the MC before then. And maybe what happens to the girls and the world too?

Dusk made the goddess/Layla parallel, saying he was surprised no one noticed they both looked alike. And Layla was created by the goddess. I think even if it's not Layla, there's a good chance it's close.

And uh I think that was it, I haven't read the last two pages of comments but if you have any questions I can maybe help from what I saw in the channel!

Wish more updates looked like this one. The wait was totally worth it. So much good happens holy. Felt like I was watching an actual anime in real time. Beautiful.

It's always good when a dev that takes a while to update releases a chapter that is an actual chapter.
I hate when chapters are like 5-10 minute things, chapters should be like a chunk of a book. This was exactly what a chapter should look like. Yeah the wait period sucks, but I would have hated to play that in pieces too lol.

(Also not getting wait-scammed is a great thing that effort definitely matched the wait period)

the dev messed something up and you don't get the scene with her if you have lesbian content disabled regardless of the points, that is why i couldn't see it.

Might be because she has a lesbian scene at the beginning of the game in the hot tub (kind of, just some fondling). So, dev has probably got her in general flagged as lesbian content, assuming if you don't want to see lesbians, then you probably don't want to be involved with them as well.

If it is doing that for Layla, then it might do it with the others as well that were involved in lesbian type content if you have it blocked. Like Dyna or Reily for instance, since they are also involved in lesbian-type scenes.

But that's just guessing. Otherwise, might just be a bug lol.
