I saw on itch.io a dev of a game called Wild Cats, reply to similar comments of Defender pop ups being caused by games on Renpy 8.34. IDK if thats true im not a dev but i downloaded that game, tried to run it and had a Defender pop up.

I don't know where or which of the download links you choose but I download new games or new updates from this exact site quite frequently and this is the 1st time I had this pop up for a virus possibly and won't even run the program at all so you may need to look into something if you are getting the pop up on any other games and mos def on multiple cause I have never seen anyone post similar to yours. It did play on android so dev needs to compare both files and rip whichever is not in android and delete from pc or mac
Ok so I was able to google it and it's very simple, renpy 8.3.4 gets flagged by windows defender under the categorie porn.tool

Huh? This is very mind blowing to see from a dev! I hope you are not planning on gaining support cause sure I support, oh you didn't get the payment, I guess I will try to send you the money for the actual thing I was supposed to pay for in 3 or 4 months from now. Sure I won't remem, I mean forget. Just keep on checking must be cause I got a ton of deposits from a bunch of my company's I own so maybe cause it has 10,s of 1,000s coming into the account that when I buy shit it adds the total on my card not taking it but its a newish card I got a year and 5 months ago........WTH?

Try being less of a dick, the issue is that Microsoft (the multi-billion dollar corperation) isn't aware that the latest version of renpy is safe and flags every game made using it (there was a similar issue a couple of years ago where every renpy game with a customised .exe icon would trigger a virus response
Ummm, I think you really misunderstood something there.
The Problem I was assuming the game was having was being recognized for being to new. So the only possible option for that is waiting. What else am I supposed to do?
Also I have absolutely no programming skills. If there is something wrong under the hood of the game, I google it. There's not much more I can do. My skills lie more in creating aesthetic compositions and delicate lighting
Ok so my current fix is to see if I can recompile the game in an older Version of Renpy, this should take roughly 2-3 hours with the new upload and then we can see if that fixes it
Dude, taking time to recompile the game for an error that isn't your fault is more than a lot of developers would have done and the game in general is very good although I haven't played the 0.3 update yet. Really excited to see where this goes
