Nonsense. You can write something interesting without being cliche while still staying in the genre. Is every comic book hero the same? Is every romance, thriller, drama, mystery story the same? The problem is that all of these stories are made for a quick buck. There's no artistry to be found here. This tired story combined with the atrocious art, MTL, and RPGM engine make this one to be forgotten.
Everything is cliche, you probably just didn't notice it yet. Most stories are the same with slight variations from old or recycled ideas, so much so that they can be divided into specific genres like you mentioned.

Oh, I have no problems with the introduction of a another guy, or the cheating, or whatever. It could be a different setting, it could give the player character a different attitude, it could make the "bull" a woman or an alien or something. I don't know. Something different and interesting. But this exact scenario has played out multiple times in multiple titles which was my problem with it and this didn't look like it did anything remotely innovative. He changed the art of the girl, that's it. I also agree, that most eroges are silly cash grabs. It may have not been the case in the past in the AIF community pre-Patreon but dlsite has existed for aeons and things have not gotten better. Either way I think I'm going to get off this today as I've been getting loads of errors and having to refresh a lot to even access the site. Cheers.
