Well, once you get self-destructive, is a good time to stop focusing Hashimoto and start doing training with Jackal until guard job opens, once you have that, spend health there until self-destructive is active and go use high energy actions like debate, gamedev, studying at university, fighting in the bar and the Arcade to level stats and also helping Jackal with armor when health allows it to progress story. Generally I focus both Yumeno and Hashimoto before that, until you get game console, you can equip it and have enough energy to fill nearly every time slot (with Hashimoto and mansion) while getting decent focus to help rush Hashimoto. Once finances is at 2, larcing kit is on and allows you to mostly not care about money.
Unless you're looking for the personal achievement of reaching Tanaka in as few loops as possible there's nothing wrong with running a couple dozen loops on auto daydreaming to build up MoL. Early on I found Yumeno's handheld equip very powerful, it also pairs nicely with vulnerable early game too with its .5 action cost—allowing you to use more time slots while running vulnerable than you otherwise would. Getting those relationship and focus levels early on allows you to squeeze more out of them.
