There is technically more non-NTR in the game, but it seems like less because some content locks out others. From what I can tell, all NTR content can be seen in one playthrough.

You should be able to tell when it happens. It’s been a while since I played, but locked content as in you choose to spend time with one girl over another. I don’t think most people notice because they probably weren’t into the girl they passed over in the first place. It’s no different in concept to games like Being A Dik in that way.

Originally, the acronym NTR was coined as an umbrella term referring to Netorare, Netorase, and Netori, all of which share the quality of being commonly deemed offensive/taboo/stigmatized in japanese culture (at least at the time). For a particular adult media to be labelled as "contains NTR!" is a brief way to convey that it has potentially offensive content (again, relative to japanese culture at the time). When used as intended, the term "NTS" shouldn't need to exist as we can use the proper term "Netorase" to refer to the idea.
