Hello everyone,
Due to the nature of the update (inconsistencies fix / code rework), I won't be able to list everything that changed, I'll focus on the most noticeable changes.
Changelog
The progression speed has been considerably increased (cooldown reduced, increased rewards, etc.).
New system to handle different types of dialogues with all characters.
New system to handle characters location, it's used to know if a NPC is alone or who is with it, etc.
New punishment system. The game now keeps better track of punishments and some NPCs may have lasting effects for a few hours. Rachel's punishment will gradually become harsher and more embarrassing over time. She will take it easy at the start of the game.
Rachel will not spank the MC, Emily or Chloe for one small mistake. After someone collects 3 warnings , Rachel will announce their punishment during dinner. Emily and Chloe can now misbehave and gain Rachel's warnings on their own, without player intervention. You can find out what they did if you talk to them. You can also try to provoke one of them during breakfast or lunch in front of Rachel. And finally their offenses will increase if they fail to study due to your distractions.
Important info: the MC can't 'skip' a punishment step, let’s say current step is 8 but the last time the MC got spanked it was 3, then if the MC should be punished step 4 will be used and not 8.
New stamina. It determines the maximum amount of time he can cum in a day. It starts at 1 and stops at 5. It starts increasing after the first time the MC cum when using the pool or doing yoga with Rachel.
Mood removed. Scenes previously using 'mood' have been reworked or use another trigger (might look random but most of the time, it's not).
Various GUI improvements to reflect new mechanics.
Reworked / Improved some events (new renders, new talks).
Fixed most of the inconsistencies reported.
Removed the hairbrush event (I will add it back when possible).
Added help windows after the intro (you can see it again using the "help" window).
Added a consequent number of new dialogues.
Added a new character.
Added 3 new events with the new character.
New "help" window options: You can change your name. You can enable MC punishment when playing with femdom disabled and choose which clothes you allow during a spanking. You can also disable Linda night visit if you wish.
And many other smaller changes.

Are we having to start over again - I have copied all my saves over to the new game>saves folder, but none will load.
As the Dev post says he has changed a lot of the points systems and ditched 'Mood' I guess it's a restart?
Which is the second time I think - I can understand wanting to improve the game, but why do we keep having wholesale changes?

If you have played this game on v 0.2.2 don't expect any of your saves to work. None of them will. Expect to start it over from the beginning.

I'm gonna lose it for having to restart a new game simply due to a new update yet again. Why these developers can't plan far enough ahead to prevent this is sickening to say the least. Saving games are nearly useless anymore as so many developers seem not to give a rat's ass about how tiring that becomes for the people playing their games. I give up, I'm not starting over anymore.
i enjoyed this for what it was but these style of games in general are frustrating to begin with. trying to see all the content is a chore and i constantly run into bugs that will block content from me, like following a walkthrough and doing something, but it not registering i did it for example
having to start over in a game like this is rough as well, because all of those tedious days skipped to be at the right date and time with the right level of stats and points to get events to trigger, and hope you can do it all without anything going wrong so you get to the new content etc
im just avoiding all sandbox games until they are completed or abandoned at this point. starting over a vn sucks too but if its renpy you can at least skip ahead easy enough to get to the new content. it just sucks cuz i liked this, but the last update bugging out on me after trying it a couple times through, and now having to start over again im good. i wish these developers would just release them in a vn form too, even if stuff doesn't connect right, just line up events sequentially. they could even do a black screen with text saying something like "blah blah life went on for a week until one day your character peeks in the bathroom..." and on to the next event

Yep, the game is a gem but constantly starting all over is not... Well, in the absence of anything better... why not start from scratch)

post #1616 has a save with all events complete so it's not that bad, if you missed any events just go back and play them, better then starting over

Well F*ck me... not only does this update lack in new content (mostly some tweaks to the game mechanic in general and "new" character, wich btw no one ever ask for) but on top of that you need to start all over again... and in the game like this... it`s just "throw away 3 to 5 hours of our life" ladies and gentlemen...I present to you new game like "summertime saga" where with each new update you have to start over... f*cking ridiculous...

I think people either do not know how to read, or are too lazy to read, if they were not so they saw that in the post where the new update came out # 1,616 also came a save file for the end of the previous version and beginning of this new update for those who had finished the previous version just continue with this save no need to start all over again
I still have not played this update but if there were all the changes indicated in the changelog it is normal the old saves do not work this happens in practically every Ren'py game where there are substantive changes
I know it's bullshit but what else can we do? if we really like the game, we'll play it all over again if we do not, just find another one you like, it's as smple as that
