I am only saying abondoned because theres been no communication in the last two months and normally creators dont do that. and because of their history with going ghost and completely ending their other game. im taking a very large hunch that they are not comin back. they've also lost like 80% of their fanbase from being ghost so even if the dev comes back they may as well have to restart from scratch. so from the looks of it, yes i belive they will abondon their game

Even if I ignore all ethics(I know this is pirate site but have some standards at least), the state of this remake is shaky at best, the dev is depending on people giving money to them so they can hire an artist, so if you decide to support this you're basically betting in the possibility that they hire the ideal artist (most of the appeal of this is the art), and that this is just not a quick scam. But maybe this ends up into a 300 IQ move to make the dev came back who knows.

i see what you mean. but to be fair. by now we do not know wtf they have done with the rest of that money. and also like yo sair. its betting. so with that same chance he could be hiring artist. he could have spent his money on a Singaporean camgirl. i like your insight on it but unfortunately. a lot of it is based on what if's

People defending this in any way is wrong. End of the day, if the og developer wasn't transparent enough, or had slow uploads, that's irrelevant. This person apparently remade a game that's still in active development for all we know without permission, using the same engine, the same art and trying to make money from it. At the end of the day, like the og dev, or hate them, it's theft ‍♂

This is probably the best case scenario since either,
1) Pffg tries to take this project down (We know he's active but is just being a cucklord trying to milk his patreon) Surely, prompting an update mayhaps.....
2) We get the game either way (Albeit the writing and art will be heavily nerfed but still, let him cook )

I agree with people hoping that this may drag the original dev back into the light. Just insane of them to just go silent towards all their supporters. Its sad going to the Patreon comments seeing all the people worried for the Devs well being and wishing him well.
I don't agree with what's happening here, but you cant say its not funny and a completely terrible idea.

Why do I have a weird feeling in my stomach that tells me this is either the developer in disguise pulling some unforeseen move, stolen goods being sold under a new umbrella by a random or straight up full of malware?

Not to mention that the CG (didn't launch the game, merely checked the media folder) contains AI generated "placeholders"

The text was instant before when you moved the text speed bar all the way to the right. I'm not a fan of staggered text. 99% of the bar is for people who enjoy that. That end bit on the right, though, that's for those of us who don't like to read at the speed the author imagines the person would speak. It's not natural to read that way.

It's actually insane that there are people defending this, acting like 2 months is some insane hiatus for this kind of content and even then, I bet 90% of the people backing this up don't even subscribe to the person on patreon.
