The moron MC doesn't do himself any favors, which works in Durrak's favor, but it's still Val pushing things along since there's such a thing as being TOO naive. Since she doesn't think anything of Durrak, the fact that she lets him paw at her constantly is also pretty goofy. At this point I mostly just attribute it to the forest actually being cursed and making them act dumber than usual.

But it works, in this particular case because it's not as extreme a case as what you're putting up. It'd be different if he were trying to rape or assault her but so far, Durrak has been "helpful" so Val doesn't see him as a threat. By the same coin, we're not elves, thus we see her version of common sense (uncaring of nudity, downplaying groping, etc.) as nonsensical. It comes down to different mindsets at that point.

Elves are VERY different than humans in this particular setting (mantis:human level, maybe more). The writing leans a lot on this factor, making the player not only believe that Vallabelle's actions are understandable, but fill in any gaps as well; giving the story an organic flow. This is one of the reasons people are so attracted to this game (the writing).
I got the sense of this while playing the game multiple times, anyway. I haven't played it from the beginning in a minute, though, so I might be exaggerating a little bit... but I don't think so.

I mean... the Dev could do the whole feminine elven men stereotype where elf males are also feminine in nature; since elves in general are beings of beauty in design, meaning she could've chosen MC since he is not as masculine as other humans. This is where Durrak can show Val what true masculinity is. Thus awakening her to a new form of pleasure. I think it fits her whole "naive" about human nature.
