Is there a CMI that can be used for older versions like the one in this post? I'm on mac using crossover to play this and the official updater never works.
I know this might not be the right place to say this in, but I need to get this out of my chest.
FUCK credit card companies.
I noticed there were links that lead to COM3d2 on google, but they redirected to the home page, and the games were not showing on my owned games library.
I live in the US, So i decided to turn on my thor browser (VPN) and log in to nutaku. Voala there are my purchased games.
This shit is getting out of hand.

There is but you have to see which version you are on. The repack in op is probably on version 1.11. CMI 2.5.7 will probably work with it. Give or take a couple of version numbers in that range.
This is generally a bad idea to get older versions of CMI instead of updating the damn thing.

you should only be able to extract the first one out of all 14, if not try reinstalling the first one thats what worked for me

I installed the game with a torrent in this thread(Mod pack R9) And I updated the CMD3D 2 Version now to the latest version.
Unfortunately CMI says that I updated the game with copy paste and updating would break the game so I cant install CMI ... I really want CMI to uncensor..
How can I fix that ?

I never posted there and never will. This job requires keeping a low profile.
So don't mention my name in there. I just go there from time to time to monitor development and act accordingly based on user feedback. I update the guides whenever there are major changes. But since the normal COM3D2 has now entered some kind of LTSB mode I don't think there will be much development for it or major changes that break stuff. Most attention shifted to COM3D2.5 (version 3.x) plugin development which is currently broken unless you are willing to update plugins independently. Depending on how things develop the next eng repack may or may not be based on the 3.x branch and I'll stop supporting the 2.x branch. I already have jap 2.x and eng 2.x, KCES and a ton of mods. I don't want to install 3.x branch without discarding the other. It's gonna be a pain in the ass to go through all the dlc again and install the COM3D2.5 version of them. At least for eng version the process is more straight forward. I don't even know how to do it for jap version at this point because instructions aren't clear at all and might be outdated for all I know.

R9 is the eng repack, not a modpack. It doesn't have any mod whatsoever.
CM3D2 is the prequel to COM3D2.
CMI has its reasons to say what is says and I won't argue with that. It likely detected files that shouldn't be there.
First clarify what repack you installed and what update and where from.
Did you read the R9 guide if that's indeed what you installed?
Never extract updates or dlc directly in the game folder. It will likely break the game and the update.lst
Delete and Reinstall the game (use 7zip to extract the first 7z part. Don't use winrar)
Download and extract the

anywhere except for the game folder or restricted folders (Downloads, Program Files, etc)Apply the update by running the installer.
Install latest CMI.

that didnt work for me neither because the archives were damged ???? I downloaded them twice from this thread.

The game runs completely fine but I cant install CMI
So your suggestion is to redownload the files again ? That didnt work for me. Should I download the game from your attached link (Modpack R4.10) ? Havent tried that out yet

Modpack R4.10 as the name implies is a modpack. It won't fix anything. It's more like an expansion of what you can create and has a bunch of premade popular character presets. Half of them I tuned myself. Some are good, some are meh. Skill develops with time. It's hard to get characer accuracy just right and have the perfect skin/tattoo combo.thanks for your reply so to clarify:

But before you delve into modding you must first set up CMI.
Show me a screenshot of the game folder so I can confirm why CMI is complaining. If you can see an update.exe in there then CMI has all the reasons to complain because that means you dragged and dropped an update or dlc in there at some point which will likely break something even if you don't notice at first.

Delete. Reinstall. There is no fixing it.
Backup your savedata and presets if you made any progress in the game that you want to keep.
Next time don't extract or move anything in the game folder unless you are explicitly instructed to do so.

AndI downloaded your modpack where do I put it in ?
Mod folder after installed CMI
Don't forget to choose Maidloader instead (i think it because modloader is abandoned)
Anyway, read the CMI first, i could be wrong

Everything should be done outside the game folder
Both repack and modpack have detailed written instructions. I suggest you read them from the place you got R9. That guide will also lead to the modpack instructions for eng version.
What you see in my sig is mainly for jap version. There are some slight differences.

Thanks for your help, I actually downloaded the modpack and put it into the mods folder inside the game folder after finishing the installation... I didnt read the instructions for the modpack but for now my game works completely fine and the uncensoring worked 2 . I have a backup in case sth happens
The only thing that really goes on my nerves with Mods on games like Koikatsu, HS2 and COM3Detc is that there are first of all waaaaay 2 many features AND Duplicates... is there a way to get rid of duplicates without deleting them manually ?

The only duplicates come from Mod\[CMI]Uncensor and [CMI]XTfuta folder (not exact folder names) because the modpack has its own Mod\Body\Uncensor folder and you must manually delete one or the other. It doesn't really matter which one. You would know that if you bothered to read. You can't have dupe uncensor.
If you didn't follow instructions you probably used the CMI Basic preset which is kinda useless for loading modded character presets and you probably didn't install the character presets from the modpack or you can't view them because you need a plugin to view presets in subfolders.

How could I get the missing DLCs ? (without buying them of course, because if you want everything the numbers quickly adds up).
