Hmm, apparently Malerouille couldn't even be bothered to give out keys to their long time supporters for the game and the community who funded the game is in a small uproar over it.
12 dollars on Steam, 9 dollars on Itch, nothing to really show to justify the cost after milking Patreon. I'm so confused as to why people think this is acceptable for designing a game. Maybe the hurr-durr porn = quality isn't important bug is worse than thought.
At first the game was free, this same community asked me to put a price. They asked my to rise the price.
And when I see people subscribing for 5$ and expecting to get all the games I made. Nope.
They got the 5$ game. They got all the builds, all the prototypes, all the versions of the game.
I spent 3 years on this game and it ended on Steam cause people asked for it.
I'll keep fixing it, supporting it, improving it.
There are issues? I can fix them cause people report them.
You want it cheap? Pirate it. Or get it on itch.
To get a game on itch? 5 min from creating the page and publishing it.
On steam? Many months of work. People pay for that and for the insane Steam's fees.
Edit: my games are literally always on sales for the most stupid reasons
