Overview:
In the year 200X, a giant hole erupted in the middle of Japan. Called the Hell Hole, its appearance caused the sea to split and the lands to bend. Special Students, as those people were soon called, became the object of fear. Japan became ruled by violence and terror and was cut off from the rest of the world. A year after the appearance of the Demonic Hole, a Special Student with extraordinary strength and will managed to unite the Special Students throughout Japan. He formed the Student Union (S.U.) to bring order back to Japan, and Japan entered a peaceful time, but it was not meant to last. Now, the land is more split than ever between the military of the PGG, the horrifying vampires of the Nightmare Eyes, the disciplined ninjas of the NPI, the fanatical Holy Flame knights, and the violent Skull Serpents sky pirates, with no end to the hostilities in sight. However, one man appearing in the Tokyo school may just change Japan forever...​

Ah yes this game, sort of Rance-like but I remember the difficulty spiking up to ridiculous levels as soon as you complete the school/prologue chapter, never really got anywhere after that.

I never "stored" them, I am just in the habbit of ALWAYS transfering old harddrives over when I switch pcs I actually realized I had what amounted to childporn on it ^.- (Me and an ex girlfriend from when we were 15 and 16) I got rid of that pretty fucking fast xD

But yeah, I've found a lot of old games, some that are impossible to get a hold of today, like Artificial Academy 1

Did you check out Ikusa Megami Zero. It has an edited machine translation and I think you can find it on this site. It was made by Eushully who also made Kamidori and the Ikusa Megami games are also considered their best games. Funny thing is Kamidori is considered one of their bad game, because of the weak story compared to their other titles. Well Ikusa has a much darker storyline but I also liked it a lot more than Kamidori.

After running the virtual machine a window appears and a couple of unreadable popups I have to hit "Ok" to followed by nothing. The controls for the VM are there, can edit options, etc but no game.

Ikusa Megami Zero is epic, tragic, sexy and gloomy and wonderfull at the same time (definately one of my all time favorites).
That game begs for a professional translation.

Pretty sure this isn't completely translated, unless it's just happened in the last few weeks.

It's an excellent game though, that's worth exploring regardless. But yeah be forewarned going in.

The virtual machine loads, with two little popups (both with Sys42VM as the title) with a string of gibberish characters I can't even type here with "OK" being the only option. After those it just sits there on the VM's interface screen. I can go to the System, Settings, help or turn on or off message skipping but no game loads.

Maybe your anti virus deleted the "Sys42VM.dll" it need´s to be in the dll folder try to put it back in if you don´t have the .dll file just download it attached files on the OP
