I'm not saying I'm smart. Smart people don't perpetuate dumbass arguments online instead of sleeping. To wit:
There's this weird attitude people get, and I will admit to having come very close to if not falling into that shitmire myself a few times, when others try to get intellectual in, about, or around porn. Like someone is supposed to feel ashamed to want to share their thoughts after diving that far down a rabbit hole out of curiosity.
I'm not going to expect civility online, I've been on the Internet far too long and if nothing else, I know better than that. I'm not going to expect people to add to the discussion, as fucking bonkers as it may be after that monolith. I've seen too many people asking for a gallery mod or full save two minutes after an OP update to expect that, either.
But being that reductive about things has only one purpose and it's to go out of the way to be an attention-drawing dickhead. So fuck that guy. 'Primitive', yes. I don't need to put more effort into talking to him than he does.

Anyway, I look forward to plowing Emmi.

A: I had read your analysis, which I didn't. I didn't, nor do I wish to engage in a discussion that I personally find pointless.

B: That was the point of my comment, which it wasnt. Nice strawman btw. I specifically adressed you saying "if story doesnt matter, go watch porn", which is a nonsense that gets repeated far too often. "If story is so important, go read a book". It goes both ways. I don't get to determine the value of your "research", and you don't get to determine what other people deem valuable in a game. The "the game is not for you" thing is a response to you implying everyone should value story and characters the way you do. Except not everyone does.

My objective with the analysis was never to convince people who like Daily Lives not to like it, nor even to convince anyone to not like Callum... at least not in the context of the game and story. If seeing Callum the way I described him in the analysis makes the story even better for you, that's great; that means I actually managed to provide enjoyment, which is always a good thing.

EDIT: I realized after posting this that it might not be fully obvious from the post I quoted myself from, but my point is that I didn't mean that players who just want basic porn shouldn't play this (or any other porn game with story and characters), I just meant that if they specifically don't care about the story there is no reason for them to play the ones that do. If you like the game, story, characters and porn that's great. The original quote you took of me was in response to someone essentially referring to discussing story and characters as "useless shit." Thus the logical response was, paraphrased for better comprehensibility: "if story and character is useless shit there might be other things suited better for you."
I am not, nor have I at any point wanted or tried to gatekeep the game; that is a motivation you put on me. I made a recommendation, which you - due to the toxicity people seem to expect as soon as they are online - misinterpreted as saying "you don't belong here." People are so damn quick to think that everyone is out to get everyone else.

As for the strawman argument working better if you had read the analysis: the same argument applies to this entire discussion (currently mainly between Draupnir7, Lewyn Collins and myself): if you don't like the discussion, don't read it. Just scroll past. And if you want to participate you are welcome to do that, too.

I agree! Both of those games are pretty good! I can also recommend Life With a Slave - Teaching Feeling, though it's a bit of a different genre than the the rest.

Interesting game. Do hope pregnancy becomes a thing in it, especially given that scene with the red head after watching her parents.

You know, reading the couple of posts before this one got me thinking... for all of my analyzing Callum, even after firmly establishing that he is special somehow, the story doesn't offer any explanation as to why he is special, only how he is (he has super-semen, pretty much). But I can't help but wonder if we can't predict what the case might be based on what is currently in the game.
Assuming, of course, that Milda isn't just pulling stuff out of their ass and going with whatever feels right in the moment of writing rather than trying to build a world that makes sense. Which is definitely a possibility. But let's not think about that right now.

this is the one, mostly based on the fact that Callum's dick can also change size depending on the scene (and i mean even beyond the fairy dust, in some scenes it's 20 inches while in some others it's like 6) so i have to assume anything about him also changes depending on the scene. Basically it's all an excuse for the porn, may sound shocking i know

i think that Milda said some time ago that he (?) doesen´t know how to write the story, so thats why the game is a mess storywise
