So... after seeing the dev's twitter, the reason why there hasn't been any new content is because he's going to release the game as it is on steam... and to top it off, who knows how the change will look on the sister and the mother just to avoid the controversy that could occur... Great...

God, I don't know if they're on Steam too, but A Town and Summer Time knew how to handle (or leave) it better for that "issue", I just hope that in the end the "changes" for releasing it on Steam will stay there and it won't go any further.

As I understood it, they changed the hair color of protag so they DON'T have to change the one of the sister/mother (to avoid incest accusations). In essence, their hair color won't change since he specifically stated he couldn't do it. Other than that I wouldn't see anything which would raise another red flag but then again I am not a Steam expert.

I personally don't mind this hair color change if it means keeping the puritans of all political persuasions at bay. But still, I wish porn game devs in general didn't have to jump through hoops just to appease the censors at Steam.

It's not exactly Steam's fault, it's more of a "institutions around Steam" 's fault. Credit card holders can boycott platforms if they do not adhere to their likes and dislikes, for example. Governments could also get mad about it too, specially with Steam.
While I can understand rules for bestiality and lolicon/shotacon, cuz even if they're drawn animals and children they're still essentially animals and children, and that could cause trouble for the platforms, much like SEGA fucked themselves in the 90's for allowing mature games being published on the Genesis, but incest being bundled together in the no-no zone makes no sense to me lol. And I'm not even an incest fan.
Patreon, Steam, Fanbox, they all add stupid rules like this because they don't want to get the short end of the stick. They're all business in the end of the day, so it's comprehensible. I think only a platform that's completely focused on mature content could maybe dodge that, and it's still just a "maybe".

So last version i played was 6.
That is over a year ago. Game has been cooking for just over 4 years now, with the updates getting less frequent and their contents could be described as ever more "lacking".
Looking back into the changelogs and i started seeing less new shit and more "reworks", "fixes" and plain removed contend.

I have been playing and supporting H-Game devs for over a decade now. They need to finish this game soon or they go the way of the Dodo like some other promising Devs have been.
Never understood how some devs fuck themselves over by simply not doing what they signed up to do.
It is either feature creep or they suddenly start changing the whole game up last minute.

Just. Finish. The. Game.

People made fun of Akabur back in the day because his trainer games took ages to be done (at least felt like that in my mind) but the dude finished his projects and put the thing in we wanted - porn with soft gameplay / fitting gameplay.
He even started making weekly reports on patreon, something unheard of in this space. It can't be that hard to schedule 10 minutes of your week, just to write down what is going on with some screenshots or teaser material.

I sound pretty negative again but i still think they could release a banger update and finish with the next one after that within 2023 but that probably won't happen, will it?
And releasing on steam is imo a ballsy move which could get them into trouble regardless of the new changes. Steam has been hit or miss for western H-Game devs and it mostly misses unless you have a publisher like Kagura Games at your back.

Thinking about it, is there a way to put the actual update dates into the changelog on the first page for every game on this website? Would honestly love some kind of history to keep better track of this stuff. More and more Games get abandoned or the good ol' "Stop complaining! Shit is complicated and takes time!" while the game stopped adding stuff and started tweaking only existing stuff every 6 months instead of the usual 2-3 monthly updates with actual new content the game started out of.

i think there are two completely different reasons why it happens

a. the devs get worried/overexcited, thinking they need to add more stuff or "improve" the game somehow because they have more money (even though no one asked them to)
b. they're greedy and hope to keep the gravy train rolling as long as possible

In this case I think they expected more support and money coming in from this idea as it's clear that this game has a lot of work and effort into it buy the whole art style and map.
The first change was just people expecting some happy teen adventure based on the tone and bright colors but the teacher was forced into sex by the bully so that was changed because of complaints but everything afterwards was changed because of retardation.

The voice acting changes were because they lost the original ones and honestly poring money into voice acting in the beginning is a terrible waste of resources and I think at this point I think they consider the entire game that and simply want to offload it now for the money and try to either start a new project or I believe one already did as mentioned earlier in this thread.

Basically they did not receive the funding they wanted and probably never will because every update has made things worse and Steam is probably there last shot to get funding or it's for them to cash out forever

Hm. from what I understand this is typically an OpenGL issue, but the fact that it doesn't do it in full screen makes me think that maybe it's an integrated graphics problem? Idk, but it's a direction to look in.

Most of the game threads I've viewed since joining a little over a month ago have been dudes asking for saves every other post, so I'd say the game parts are missed on some people lol
