oh god, I misread the size as 2.x gb before downloading.... *sigh* 2182 bloody actual GIF files... just convert these to h.265 should cut the size by a factor of 10

I would disagree here. There are valid complaints to be had for using bad file extensions such as .gif when there are so many better extensions that don't use nearly as much storage space. By choosing certain file extensions over others, unless absolutely necessary, you should always use the smallest one possible. There are much fuller games developed that use fractions of the space and compute that this one does. Plus sending out uncompressed material like this only gluts the retrieval windows and makes a directory much more complicated than absolutely necessary. These are valid critiques towards this game where the creator is using AI generation and ended up producing a poorly made directory in an elementary language.
