He already finished the animation a long time ago and is now just milking his subs for as long as possible.

Hats off to him though, if you are really good at something, try to squeeze maximum value out of it while giving minimum effort.

To his subs, try to think with your head and not your dick, the entire porn industry is made to monetize on your lust and how dumb it makes you.
Why d y fuck our heroes:cry:

Maybe you guys are just demanding without understanding anything. DL works alone, and he can't speed up the progress. Don't complain anymore because this speed of work has happened to Lara.

If you work alone, you can produce short videos and loop in many different angles (DL doesn't do that). If you have many people working together, you will have good progress and quality (DL doesn't have that condition either).

If you think DL is extortion subscribers, then don't subscribe to his channel. Wait until the project is finished and pay for it once. If you don't pay anything and come here to wait for free products, then shut up.

Always complaining and demanding, that's the nature of the low people in society. They don't understand the nature of keeping things running is a fair relationship between both parties. If you pay, the creator will have money to hire more people to support the progress of the work. Creators never want to delay, they have a lot of ideas in their heads and want to make it happen as soon as possible. But there are always too many people who just wait for free, which makes them dissatisfied.

I am a creator too, although not in this field. I understand my followers very well. They can be divided into 4 groups: those who watch and feel everything is fine, do not say anything, those who always complain and demand, but do not contribute anything, those who pay a little money and use that as a basis to constantly make requests, demands, because they think they have the right to do so, and finally those who just contribute, then click Like to support whatever product is released.

I respect the fact you are a creator, but most of what you write is completely off.

Part of this phrase (after the first comma), is the only part that is really on the spot - if people feel DL is trying to get too much out of it, they should wait and subscribed only temporarily when it is completed, in order to get it for a more reasonable price.

The indication I had for prices, compounded on the expected time or finalisation, ended up meaning various hundreds of dollars of final cost (I had estimated around 600 USD when I had one my estimate) and years to wait, that is why I did not subscribed myself, though that does not mean automatically that when it is finished people will be able to subscribe e.g. one month and get it for a more reasonable price, even if the subscription is not cheap (I remember vaguely there is a game for which the subscription is around 70USD a month, and does not get updated often).
AFAIK it was true for Lara, it is not said it will be true for Rey.

If they are paying for something, it is normal that people have expectations and rights, especially should be confirmed that DL is actually making a living out of it - it is different when someone provides something for free in their free time.
You are also forgetting there are people here who did subscribe or are subscribing (that is how the "previews" get diffused here), and that this forum is also about talking about the work of the author and how it works.

Plus, you may feel touched and obliged to defend him because you are both creators, but you are you, DL is DL.
Unless you have full information and fully accurate about his situation and a number of parameters (in which case you should provide specific information and not general screaming) you are in no better conditions than anybody else with some basic information to express opinions about the situation.
I did programming, video editing, 3d rendering, and I am an IT person, but aside eventual references to cost of software license, or whether an hardware configuration can allow to use certain tools or render content at a certain speed when those are mentioned, i.e. cases where specific information is provided and I can provide a specific technical comments on that information based on my knowledge, I do not use that as excuse to go around blasting around.
You should do the same.

Everyone of us when creating something has the right to be proud of it, a girl I knew would say "porn is also art" (debatable depending on the content and period, I would say, but that is also an opinion), but the idea that being an artist means being above any criticism is typical of the artistic sector or people who like to see themselves as artist (though in general, they consider themselves and the category above any criticism, but have no problem heavily criticising other artist that are in competition, often behind their back), is only valid for the part about expressing oneself, and only if the there isn't someone else footing the bill :)

Incidentally, "extortion subscribers" ("extorting subscribers", but the concept was clear) is something that nobody is saying AFAIK, and nobody could say, because extortion requires the use of threats or violence, the only violence DL is doing AFAIK is to the characters in his videos (or better, he is not doing it directly, is having ogres/Rancors, etc. do it :)), so, definitively extortion/extorting are wrong words to use, they even create a funny effect.
You write to do the "white knight defends DL", and then end up insulting him by accusing him of committing a crime (extortion) :-D

You talk too much and I don't understand what you're trying to say. I just want to ask you: don't you find it funny that there are always so many people waiting for new products (free) and complaining that DL is ripping off subscribers?

I've been on this thread for a long time, and I'm sure that DL has been and is still working at the same pace. He works very slowly, updates very little compared to other creators. He even has 2 months between updates. And complaining here doesn't change anything.

What are those people fighting for? That DL's subscribers are being unfairly treated? Or that the new videos are not satisfying them, even though they don't pay a dime?

I believe that DL's subscribers know that what they get is not worth the money they spend, but they still continue to support. It's simply because they want to support creators. I have people who donate a consistent amount of money to me whenever I'm online, even though I know for a fact that what I create isn't worth it.

There will always be people who support DL, and they do it because they want to. Don't speak for them.

You do realise that the post I replied to was not really that much shorter than my reply, right ? :-D

I have to apologise, because I skipped most of your post, kind of rude on my side, but I admit that first phrase was already enough.
You wrote "I don't understand what you're trying to say" - you cannot make a long reply to something you do not understand.
If you do not understand it, then ask to rephrase, or just stop there and leave your post as that first line - the question tries to be ironic/polemic, but that is perfectly fine for me, I would not even mind giving you a short answer.

About the last line. In no post of mine on this thread I spoke for the people who are "die hard" supporters (i.e. supporters that even if it took five more years and 700 USD of their money to finish would still support it), or even just that decided that for them even if it takes a two-three years from start to finish (which may still means a couple of hundreds) is still OK.
Nor did I try to change their mind - if you look well, I clearly wrote each one has to make his/her evaluation/decision.

I shared:
  1. Some information I had (but indicanting when I could not guarantee the information was correct or an opinion or estimate);
  2. A preview made joining different smaller previews for some people who wished for it (with the rights tools and a minimum of skills, not a big problem), but in which I even added a disclaimer it was not my video but DL's video, and sai they should consider supporting if they liked it;
  3. My own reason why I did not become a supporter even if I like the Rey video, included what for me is a time/cost issue (other content creators are faster or at least more regular);
  4. Comments/opinions on the content of the Rey and Lara Croft videos and the work of the artist.
AFAIK this is for threads like this are for, to exchange, talk and comment about the work of the author, and to allow people to see and try if they like something and eventually become supporters - including indications one like some content, but also criticism of the author and/or content.

You're on the internet bro. No one changes their mind for anything and its best to just block them.
