The mistake is yours. You extracted the mod from game/game. That's why you got the error.
Delete the game/game directory and extract the mod again.
This should overwrite the old files.

I don't have any mods, I accidentally typed } in the save file name. I don't mind losing my progress, the problem is that because of that error I couldn't access the load game screen. Any ideas?

If this is the case, you have to go to ...\DMD.CH2-0.21.5-pc\save and remove the save with } .
After that, you have to go to %APPDATA%\Roaming\RenPy and delete DMD-2469236204

Anyone else having issues installing chapter 2 on android. Seems like it's not compatible with the newest version of android... Even tried shizuku and install with options to lower the Sdk but still get the app is not compatible with android message when trying to install the apk
