This game needs to be more distinctive with normal speech, narration and internal dialogue.
Because for every line of normal speech, there seems to be about 6 of narration or internal dialogue and it's all so flowery and descriptive that I'd like to be able to button mash through all the superfluous text and get to the meat of the conversations and interactions.
Also, a lot of the 'show confidence or strength' dialogue options tend to result in the MC just floundering about and ultimately getting walked all over or shamed in some way. I get that he's a peasant farm boy, alone and completely out of his element but it doesn't make for a very satisfying play experience when I choose an option and the opposite happens. If he can't show backbone yet stop giving me options that make it seem like he can.
