Sofia can't really blackmail Daniel and Lana because remember in the first chapter, Sofia told Lana, while Daniel overheard, about her affair with Martha's nephew's friend. Lana does have proof. She has herself and corroborators. Remember Daniel overheard Sofia and Lana's conversation. If Daval intended to make this a threesome or foursome anytime soon, he would've done it by now. I think Sofia's role in this chapter as well as the chapters since the end of Chapter 6 is to present the "looming threat of exposure." That way, Lana can maintain her demeanor as the openly resistant partner, and Daniel remains the aggressive Lothario who has Lana in which ever ways suit his imagination. The story so far has portrayed Daniel as completely and utterly fixed on his mother, Lana--exampled by his rejection of Sofia's blowjob. And Lana is clearly jealous when Daniel interacts with other women. I can only assume this is the case because that's the compelling feedback Daval is receiving from his subscriber base--i.e. to have the sex remain primarily between Daniel and Lana.
Depending on how far this series goes, it's only a matter of time, however. If Sofia gets involved, I don't see it happening through blackmail. I can see it happening in an almost "honor among thieves" scenario. Maybe Daniel can against how to get out of this scenario easily. He already proved more than once that he is very manipulative. If I remember correctly, he wrote a fake e-mail to impersonate his dad's boss so that Alex and Lana wouldn't get old. He also managed to trick Sofia in part 7 by pretending to be her dad.
