Again, let's not forget how this story started, a mom and a son with such a bad relationship that he used to call her by her name, then only started to care about her when he saw her almost naked, it may have evolved into love, but it started out as lust and obsession and probably a little of resentment.

I think Daval is hellbent on making this happen. I think he's hoping that the old crowd has diminished and that this new crowd will welcome a sexual encounter between Alexa and this redheaded simp. At worst, they do the deed, and at best, the caucasian "Fat Albert" forces himself on Alexa once she's naked, and Daval can try to explain it away as Alexa, technically, not cuckolding Liam because she was "raped." If you look at the preview image, she's making this proposal right next to his bed, so one would have to wonder, "why?" I don't think Daval cares much since he's ending the series in next upcoming months, or so he has said. And the fan base for better or worse has cultivated a tolerance for these antics.
I know I have a tendency to overthink things, but something about this setup is screaming the latter scenario I mentioned.
