I never could make Anagenesis 2 look good with dark skins, sadly. After admiring epw14's work, I though I would also try out Anagenessis 2, by redoing a couple of my better previous renders as contained in the spoilers below. I have included the original and the revised (with Anagenessis applied) such that you can see a side by side comparison. A couple of tips below that I have come across that will help you, should you start using the shader preset.
- When using on a G8 model you have to set the "Dual Lobe Specular Weight" in the surfaces tab to zero after you apply Anagenessis. If you don't the characters look like they have been covered in petroleum jelly.
- The shader is not compatible with normal wet skin effects, however you can achieve same result by using the lip gloss affect whilst the surfaces tab is selected. It applies the gloss effect to the full model rather than just the lips. Results can be seen in the Pool Render Comparison Spoiler.
...what's the asset name of that tunic? Thank you...A free wallpaper of Mishti. It really does look great on my monitor, but then I would say that wouldn't I, I created her. View attachment 122067

Am I a tasteless philistine or are the shadows on her face softer and more preferable in the original? After admiring epw14's work, I thought I would also try out Anagenessis 2, by redoing a couple of my better previous renders as contained in the spoilers below. Comparisons are contained below. The original was rendered over longer time at higher resolution (4k) and down-sampled to the resultant size. The Anagenessis renders are completely unmodified exports from Daz. There are a couple minor differences in the render models, however I can assure you it's the same character skin.

Not at all, the image was a little over-exposed as I adjusted the window surface settings prior to the Anagenessis render. I have corrected the lighting levels in this render to match the original, and replaced the image in the original post.Am I a tasteless philistine or are the shadows on her face softer and more preferable in the original?
Nicely done! Mind me asking which character that is (or based on if morphs and such were applied)?
