I have tried to mix the two shades of red
that it does not appear too dark but also not too bright

You should try using a hair shader. I am very partial to from Sloshwerks (https://f95zone.to/threads/colorwerks-hair-shaders-for-iray.39592/). It is even better than Hairblending 2.0 that Out of Touch includes with most of their hair assets. It lets you do a lot of stuff with hair and if the asset has different surfaces, you can even add different shader parameters to each surface if you want to, and have the time to mess with it.

yeah i have ColorWerks but to be honest
i don't get it with the Masks and the Overlaying Colors :ROFLMAO:

i can try it again :D

Was the grain in Photoshop?

When you compare film grain to digital in a movie, the grain structure looks the same as what you came up with but it isn’t as strong. Lower the opacity a decent amount and maybe play with its blending mode some as well. In film grain you see it less in brighter spots than in darker or mid range areas.
