So far I've read it could be the format of the HDR needing to be changed due to an OS upgrade. Not sure how true that is.I've had the same problem; no idea on fixing.
If you have the denoiser enabled, check if the Alpha is on. If it is, turn it off. Maybe it will solve this issue
Lucky youThis reminds me of an ex girlfriend. This is insane, same face, same body kinda, except she had a tiny waist. Scared the shit out of me when I saw this lol. Nice work!
It's a double edged sword, as she broke my heart, lol.Lucky you
This seems to be another one of the 4.22 IRay problems. Perhaps some of these HDR file extensions are not compatible with the newer version, so it's not able to handle them properly.I don't ever use denoiser tbh. I always worry it will mess with small details I might actually need for clarity.
Thanks so much. I tried to do this with Gimp and everytime it crashes the damn thing! Thanks for the heads up!!This seems to be another one of the 4.22 IRay problems. Perhaps some of these HDR file extensions are not compatible with the newer version, so it's not able to handle them properly.
A solution would be to load the file in an image editor like Photoshop, save it as .hdr, and then try again in DAZ. I think this has the .exr extension to it which is a known issue.
I think you maybe right but I don’t think it’s a Mac update issue as I use a Windows pc and have the same issue.Highly possible it's due to an update of some sort, as my mac updated the other night (I always try to hold them off).
I don't think it's an OS upgrade, I've had this issue for months, particularly with specific scene files like the frozen lake. In fact, I think it might be all "snow" settings I've tried to use.So far I've read it could be the format of the HDR needing to be changed due to an OS upgrade. Not sure how true that is.
Oh I see. I always tend to assume it's down to my mac not being able to deal with Daz, as I'm always using its CPU for rendering etc. It must be super annoying for devs like yourself, as it can mess with your output and work schedules.I don't think it's an OS upgrade, I've had this issue for months, particularly with specific scene files like the frozen lake. Everything in here looks good. I want to learn in here
Also, getting to understand mesh or ghost lighting (whichever you want to call it) by introducing emissive primitives or various shapes/sizes whenever you wish to remove the issue of annoying shadows (created by body parts etc).I will say, as someone who is competent in daz, I think the big thing is learning to light properly. I barely have any knowledge in lighting, but seeing other artists in here do what they do it makes a world of difference. Barring that, a lighting preset you like.
And this happens to you with every HDRI map or just specific ones? I am on Windows 11 and v4.22.0.16 of Daz Studio and can't reproduce the problem.I think you maybe right but I don’t think it’s a Mac update issue as I use a Windows pc and have the same issue.
