No, the Subscription for the plugin in daz3d is 20 bucks per month. And yes, i do pay for that. Worth in my opinion.

What hair is the specifically?

There's something up with the material on that, it's transparency is wrong as well, go to the asset in the content library and apply one of the materials found there (there should be an iray and or 3delight folder with materials in them)
