They are inexperienced, unwilling to take criticism and ignorant to the fact that they are making a porn game with a very dull and boring story, the only interesting selling point was the characters and they have given them very plain boring voices with no emotion and spent an insane amount of money on it even though nobody gave a shit about a contentless game with voice acting... Such a stupid business model. I hope for their sake that they can recover from this and make a game worth something, because all the people defending him in the discord will only wait so long for actual content. My friend said that in the discord, there are 2 people that keep arguing with other people who are just asking questions about the release dates and content etc.

The dev team is a big scam from start, people should be more cautious when backing these kind of devs.
Oh believe me they are very experienced about "how to milk as much money off a porn game as possible".
And since their sole goal is to milk money, why do they care if their game is actually good or not? As long as it "looks good enough to deceive paid customers in", it's way more than golden for them.
All your criticism about how to make the games better, they just don't care. And they'll keep doing so as long as there's mindless people that feeds them.
When they finally can't milk enough money to their heart's content, they'll just quit. They won't develop "better" games because that's never their intent.
And that's nothing new in this industry, sadly.

I would say the lack of voice acting should be the least of their concerns. They should just give up completely on voicing the characters and add more CGs imo.
buut it was obvious this project was a scam since locking the characters side stories behing unrealistc funding goals bs
or even since when they removed the tutorial explicit scene from the demo so the full game didn't look as lackuster
i wouldn't say these devs are dumb or inexperienced. Dumbs are the ones that give money to them.

They are making shitty excuses for their lackluster game in a very shameless way: Blaming people expecting porns in a porn game.
The whole statement is anything but genuine from a developer.
To name a few what's so wrong about the statement:
- There are countless Porn games out there with amazing game-play, innovative game mechanics and brilliant story / writing, in-depth world / character building
- Sadly "dead dating" is not one of them, not a single thing it offers worth mentioning
- If "Dead dating" really is aiming to develop amazing game-play / story, why it needs to target the "gay group" and "porn game" to get said group's biased and unconditional support?
- And why only mention this when the game is finished? Not from start?
- It did a excellent job on "Expectation manipulation" and "Fake promises that feels real". The first demo is absolute gorgeous and looks so promising. But you won't know what's really in the store unless you bought it.
- They are even trying to manipulating reviews - that PR bullshit is part of it. People also mentioned they are deleting comments about inquiry / questioning, and the dev even made a scene here before.
- Don't get me started about their scammy practices of funding
- They also put way more resources into anti-piracy than necessary, that start to hurt paid customers' experience, which means they only care about money, not the customer.
- The "spent big budget on voice acting" is also a lie: There're tons of good and cheap voice actors out there, if they really hired some, the voice won't be "plain, boring and emotionless".
But the fact is "Dead Dating" really has nothing to offer, that's why people are complaining there's no porn - that's the least you can expect from a "porn game".
If it's not a porn game, I won't even look at it twice.
Insanely immature... Can not believe that a guy like him is making tens of thousands of dollars/euros every month. He sounds completely entitled and unable to grasp the situation. It actually makes me sick how someone can react like that to a constructive criticism and feedback saying "I don't like you" and "Your game isn't good either" it's just not helpful, he's talking to that person the exact way the people that he BANNED were talking to him about his game... Oh well, hopefully Ryu the main developer drops Stefan from the team and finds more competent work partners because it seems like Stefan is a petulant child in charge of something too big for his boots and he can't handle the work or pressure of deadlines. Or it really is a scam and they are getting scared towards their inflation goals.
the artist also bought the game and got disappointed with game's progress I think.
also he didn't even answer the question, he's just avoiding it and changing the topic to the artist's game as well. I don't like ppl degrading devs using renpy. every devs have their own choice what app to use, he's just stating that he's using a good app for their game which is really stupid to think

You know, we ppl who bought this game is not pissed abt the game being slow. you know why we're pissed?
1. ryu promised us that this game is "gay" and "erotic game". So you know, ppl likes it. The gameplay, the characters and also their sexiness is the main reason ppl backed this game and the fact that ryu tells us that this is an ero game is the sole reason why we supported it.
2. Ppl got disapointed abt this game bec i cant remember if ryu or stefan said that "if you play this game bec you wanted to see sex scenes then you're wrong, this game only focuses on gameplay" so it means less cgs bec he stated that there's not much LGBTQIA+ that focuses on the story which is WRONG, there's a lot of gay games with good plot and sex scenes.
3. They're often deleting messages on discord, they dont want ppl to share their thoughts or they dont want others to know their shady business. You can still send messages but it's all praises abt the game which is really odd. what's the use of their channel?
4. They're threatening to block ppl if they dont like them or their opinions
5. The devs dont like honest opinions and constructive criticisms
6. We are their customers and fans so we have the right to share our thoughts but bec they're deleting messages how can the others know what really happened?

Just a game of boring, straight acting circuit queens visiting an island and someone died due to overdosed.

Not when the developer basically making the game steal IP and doing a witch hunt seeing who shared and improving their anti crack system day by day. Just move on to other game ^^
