VN - Ren'Py - Completed - DeadMoon Survival [v1.0] [Hot Tomato]

Honestly I have a hard time rating this game.
It took me several tries to get thru the game mainly because of the MC. He reminded me of Shinji from Neon Genesis Evangelion. A character self absorbed in his pathetic little self loathing mind, weak physically and mentally etc. Reading his thoughts, his stupid responses and actions. Urghhhhh. I actually deleted the game the first time I tried it.
I only played it again because I had forgotten I had previously tried it. This time I gutted it thru (skipped) and in the later updates, it does get better.
So I am giving it 4 in hopes that it will continue getting better in terms of character development and plot.

before it was better where sex with zombies was left I liked the idea of something more than just dying I prefer the old version it totally did not convince me it is
The game loses its essence in my opinion, please bring everything back in the next one, although it does not give an impact to the story, it does give it something different

This game very much reminds me of Kindred : Redburns , though even more of a slowbun than that one, and less crisp renders(but trade off is that there are way more of them, which is fine by me).

It's got mystery, drama, decent incest writing, comedy, action... All you really need in good VN.
Only problems I can name is it took a while to open up, basically not until 0.5+ , when the water tower went down. It looks promising, hopefully dev can sustain previous level of character writing when the cast expands dramatically.

i was misled and my disappointment has ruined my day . She shouldve been the Mc seeing as how she has more balls then the Mc himself(i cant express how much this guy sucks).The mom is hot though if anything id love it if i could pursue the mom only. Lol and dont come expecting ''choice'' it literally does not matter what you choose well except the ntr stuff but besides that thats it . It wouldve been better if i had the OPTION to pursue the sister or not but nope Oh and would you like the option to not have the mom and sister fooling around??Nope its there whether you like it or not or how about forcing the sister and Mc to fool around ?? like i said YOU HAVE NO CHOICE. But besides all that i really liked how they show real emotion during certain scenes.When the mom is raging in that room to when the sister is breaking down ...idk man i could feel that emotion and the author really captured it beautifully



TLDR: its a decent story with lackluuster content and lackluster ''choices'' im dead ass only giving 3 stars because the milf is hot Lol if you like feeling blue balled , some zombie rape and some secnes with you're family getting more action than you well this is the game for you . Enjoy i guess

This is an excellently told story. The erotic scenes are extremely well written and shot, the author very well understands what makes a situation sexy, erotic, or animalistic. The MC is going through a bit too much introspection for my taste, but it makes sense for his character. I was also initially rolling my eyes at the seemingly typical tsundere sister, but for every setup there's a worthwhile payoff.
The graphics are of high-tier HS, and I never once thought, an angle wasn't optimal.
Highly recommend.

I liked the game because there was rape, and that was the highlight of the game for me, and this game stood out among all the zombie games, and now the game has become boring, banal, the same type of lesbian and bi-themes and tearful moments, and everything that was played became similar as for other zombie games I really want the developer to go back to what it was before

Not many survival games out here sadly and this is really big lose for survival game fan like me really and believe me this one is good with good survival story with lot of incest ero and thats amazing theres lot of teasing here with slow pacing not rushing thats 5 out to 5 for me.

Before you play this game you should know one thing and that is this game in every aspect, (story,sex scene etc.) is a slow burn.
Now renders are good, animation are average, music and sound are decent. Overall is good.
Story is interesting but has pacing issues and pretty much leaner, not much a choices there and the one are either flavor text or just decide other two romance options pursue each other or not.
Sex scenes are full blue balls (for the MC) at the moment. Constant teasing and anticipation for what's the come but it never does.
Overall the game is slow burn post apocalypse story.
If the pacing of main story could be fix it could be better even with the slow burn romance.

I have now played both versions: 0.5 and 0.5.5.

For my part, I have to say that I really like the game.

I have to say that I really like the writing style and the pace with which the characters develop in relation to one another. I think the scenes - especially the basement scenes at night - are very erotic.
The animation scenes could be a bit more frequent and smoother for my taste.
If I were to rate the quality of the renders I would give it an 8/10.

Now I'm getting to the point where a lot of people seem to be upset about it:
in version 0.5 there were still the "rape zombies".
I can understand that some people are upset that they will not be available in the new version and will not be available in the future.
But I have to say that removing these scenes from the game is a good decision. I'm not criticizing the scenes themselves.
Just saying that raping zombies in this game seems completely out of place and forced in my opinion.
What happened to all the people in this world? Were these fucked to death? "Oh no, run away from the zombies. I don't want to get cum covered again"

I don't want to mention another game in this games review, but it's hard not to when you recognize it. This really seems like the perfect game for someone who really liked the red burns but thought it needed less red heads and just loads of decomposing zombie dick. And maybe superpowers, but just loads of floppy dead dong. I don't usually complain about the growth of protagonists, but omg the teasing and the incessant I don't want to recognize I'm some kind of magical zombie killing machine just begged for the skip button. Pacing might be a problem if the zombies are having more sex than anyone else in a porn game. I must not be the target audience if I'm just there for the hot sister, who just absolutely will not give it up FIVE CHAPTERS in, but if you want to go out of your way to toss your mom into a zombie orgy by intentionally failing to get away there are just lovingly rendered slide after slide after slide of dead dick into every orifice of your also surprisingly hot mom. Skipping isn't much of a problem if you're already familiar with the better but unfortunately abandoned game of red heads over zombies, but you'll probably get a finger cramp trying to get to the scenes you hope for if you are not into the zombie rape scenes... and you'll still not manage to go all the way with anyone living if you are not a zombie. Some hot characters well rendered. Incredibly frustrating time trying to get anywhere with them.

A Long One:
Story - 9.5/10.
Honestly, I won't be surprised to see a top rated "anime of the year" adaptation of this exact story (for Hollywood live-action it won't be a "top tear", but still - a high praise from me).
It's a character-driven plot and EACH char have several very powerfull emotinal scenes. Here you'd think that too serious and "heavy" scenes would break the flow and demage the main purpouse of the porn-game - the horniness - but it integrated so well with the sex scenes and strong emotions of the characters that the sex and anticipation of the new sex-scenes only grow so much stronger.

My only complaint is a small amount of characters themselves and some pacing issues because of that. There are only 3 characters that live by themselves - not counting some flashbacks - and we just keep circling between their interactions. The circling itself is very well executed, but there is only so much you can do with just 3 elements.
BUT at the end of 0.5.5 there were 2 teasers for a bunch of new characters, so I guess this problem would be solved shortly.
At the end if we call 10/10 - the best story at THIS site, then 9.5 for DeadMoon is more then fittin'.
In my opinion.

Renders: 8-sh? /10.
The quality of engine you can judge from the screenshots by yourselves. But the artistic choises of some of the renders in this game is literally 11/10. Including some emotions of the characters. I made a lot of saves just to keep an awasome pic for when I'd browse saves in the later versions to remind myself of the plot-points.

Music: IWantThisSoundtrack/10.
Straight up bangers through and thruogh. I'll for sure listen to it outside of the game. And inside of it - enhances the overall experience and emotional scenes by so much more. 10/10.

Overall: Highly recommend. Support author on patreon. And maybe wait for the next update with more characters

Good non gimmick incest with slow progression spurred on by extreme scenarios believable without massive suspension of disbelief. Some pretty awooga scenes too

Characters are pretty good they have actual conversations and look like human beings, I'm a fan of how they actually look weathered by the harsh conditions.

Scenario is interesting enough as to where I actually wanted to read it instead of skipping around albeit its quite standard within the genre (excluding the relationships )

I wanted to give this 4.5 stars, but that isn't possible so I rounded it up.

Great game, interesting story and plenty of content.
Buildup of the relationships toward sexual content is kind of slow, but the story makes up for that i.m.o.

A bit wordy sometimes but I really like the dynamic between the main cast.
The sexy situations are especially exciting and just well done in general.
Models are also very memorable and hot, wich is not always easy given their source.
Good game, i'll keep an eye on this one.

Sadly i didnt have any high hopes for this because many survival games here and they are nothing more than just sex sex sex and nothing more but for this game this is good game and i am really happy.

Story about 3 person survival they are family so theres lot of incest here and incest here slow and well that thats big plus for me.

The story, songs, characters, atmosphere are excellent. When you play DeadMoon Survival, other games won't satisfy you. More zombie rape scenes, maybe other survivors rape scene, will be better. The developer made awesome game, I hope the updates come more often. This game has really well potential.

I honestly dont know how I have not seen this game until today.

Story/Writing: I really like the story so far and the writing is pretty good but some of the wording/phrasing is a little out of place. An example was the line about breaking his cervical spine. It had me laughing my ass off due to the needless specificity of it, just say you almost broke your neck...

Scenery/Models: The art is very good and really brings the world to life. The female models look really nice and seem to cover two of the most popular female body types really well. My only gripe about the models is the insanely dark bags under their eyes but with time I noticed it less and less.

Animations: Animations are good but there are a lot of places where an animation could have been used but instead I had to spam click while the images moved back and forth which, in my opinion, looks worse than just having a still image.

Sex: I like the variety of kinks covered and the way they come into the story. This game is slower and will absolutely tease you(I like this style personally). I am not afraid of the darker themes that exist within this story. I do really appreciate how the author had an option to enable warnings for the people who dont like that stuff so anyone can enjoy the game.

Overall I only have a few very minor issues with this game I can easily overlook due to how good everything else is. I will absolutely be watching this game moving forward and IMO it is criminally underrated right now.

TL;DR: Very good writing but with a few hiccups here and there. Renders aren't great but are serviceable enough. There's actual music and sounds, so that's another plus. The one star review heavily exaggerates the whole zombie rape thing, there's only 3 scenes in the game about it and they're easily avoidable.

Alright first off let's get this out of the way: The whole zombie rape NTR thing. I honestly have no idea why it's in the game besides the dev just wanting to put it in there. At the beginning, this is never even hinted as a thing that can happen and they just start randomly showing up with cocks out halfway through the game. It doesn't make much sense and the dev throws a bullshit excuse to justify it after the fact. It just clashes with the rest of the experience and feels like it's there to appease the dev's fetishes. Game would definitely be better off if the time spent on those scenes went to literally anything else(especially because they're pretty long).

The writing itself is honestly great, especially for just a generic zombie plot. It's more of a slow-burn, that heavily leans into the taboo of incest. You're not going to be instantly fucking your family members(or at all as of 0.5), and that's great. It's really refreshing to see a more realistic take on the trope, and it feels like there are actual reasons they're interested in you besides just porn logic. It can be a bit too melodramatic sometimes with lines like,
"It took me a long time to get used to it you know, this silent world without the slightest sign of life, where death reigns supreme."
I get you're trying to set a tone dev, but jesus christ make it a bit more subtle, yeah? It's not too egregious though and it's mostly just a few lines that make it noticeable.

The MC is... mostly just a generic anime MC. Wants to protect his family, likes perving on girls around him, etc. He's not stupid, dense, or feels especially slimey though, which is a godsend to this site. His whole arc about wanting to protect the girls but being unable to is really played out, but it's one of the better examples of it so I can let it slide. I would prefer an outcome where he realizes he can help the girls out in other ways than just protecting them but I'm also a sucker for reversed gender roles so I'm a bit biased.

The girls look a little off but personally I think it adds to their charm. They're attractive, but not generic super models with 0 flaws in appearance and have realistic bodies. They're pretty well-written and aren't just your stereotypical trope "sexually frustrated mom" and "bitchy horny sister". Well they kinda are, but there's a lot more to them than just that. They feel like real people with their own flaws and reasons for doing things while also being charming. Same goes for MC. They all interact like a real family with all the ups and downs of one, you can really tell they care a lot for one another.

The porn writing however is just OK. It's not gonna turn you on a ton, but it'll get the job done and can be pretty good at times. Most of the gratification from these scenes is the sexual tension and taboo of it all, not really from the actual writing for the scenes. A very common trend for the dev is to compare the sex to something else. I laughed my fucking ass off when he compared MC's dick to the fucking TOWER OF BABEL.

It's also noteworthy to say that it's mostly the girls that take the lead here, both in and out of sex. Your sister and mother are better at fighting than you, mom calls you good boy, sis says you belong to her, etc. Personally I fucking love that shit but I can understand if it turns some people off.

The music and sound effects are just fine. Nothing to really write home about other than it works.

Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised by this one. It has a refreshing tone for an AVN, good multi-layered characters, and a nice slow-burn incest story. It's not going to get your rocks off as of yet, but I think that's fine. We need more games on here that aren't afraid to make the player wait in order to properly set things up for a good pay-off later.

I don't know how I only found out about this game right now. If you ask me, it's a hidden gem and fans of zombie survival stories will absolutely love it.

The story is very well written and does well in showing a hero's journey. The MC starts out weak, with only a hero's heart, but as it goes on, his body and mind follow, leading to a very satisfying climax in 0.5.

The renders are also great, and the two female protagonists are super hot. They each have a very fleshed out character and I like the slow buildup with them and how they react to the MC's evolution.

I like the music that was chosen a lot. NTR is entirely avoidable and anyone who complains about it is a giant baby.

5/5 stars. One of the few games that I'll follow closely in the future.
