So, did you had much work with ripping of the "Screw Wars" game? @Darth Smut

Just for your information couldn't actually care less about both games, even so that I am a hugh star wars fan.

i just want to say. somewhere in these comments is a comment of the creater from screw wars , apologizing about he blamed him from ripping of the game, but after talking with the developer of this game. he talk it out and says these games are two different games. so no real rip offs. and maybe they use the same visual novel toolkit for there games.

I talked with Darth Smut and I am happy to clear his good name. (Not really. What kinda name is Darth Smut?)

Anyway I’m glad this wasn’t a rip off of Screw Wars like I feared or a case of double dipping that I dreaded.

So far the game seems pretty good for a proof of concept. The idea is perfect for the star wars universe. There is more than enough room in a galaxy far far away for another porn game. I am excited to follow this project now. (If only I could get to the ending lol.)

So I was brought on by Skullyakker to work on the story for his game. However after a few messages he has gone completely dark on my end and does not respond to anything.

I saw this game pop up a few months after skullyakker dissapeared. After a little conversation with the dev I am able to say one thing. I honestly don’t give a fuck about the situation. I always wanted to work on a star wars game (just look at all my posts in the other thread). But seeing how skull has been impossible to communicate with I am just glad that someone else is taking the idea and running with it.

My only concern is that Darth Smut may have ripped off too much of the game. He should probably work on changing this stuff so it’s not so shady.

Finally I had my doubts and wondered if Skullyakker was just double dipping. The renders look to be about the same quality and the bugs were almost identical in places. After talking with Darth Smut I don’t think that’s the case but then again. This is the internet and you can’t trust anyone.

So my recommendation is this. Skull should defend his shit if he cares and Smut should change the assets a bit more. It’s only fair to let the two of them hash it out rather than starting an unauthorized witch hunt. For the fans, support what you want and play what you want. Just don’t be a dick.

Do I condone Darth Smut using ripped assets? No.
Am I glad someone else is making a 3d model based Star Wars game? Yes!

I was a patreon of Skull a while ago but decided to stop supporting him and saw this new game a few days ago. You basically have two games which will, imo, have a high chance of getting nowhere.

One the one hand you have Skull:
A guy who is pretty new in the buisness and has clearly project management problems. His updates on Screw Wars take pretty long and then he had the new idea to turn his game into an adult kotor mod. But sadly he did promise his patreons to create the VN-like Screw Wars and his poll "should I turn it into a kotor mod?" did not go into the direction he wanted the project to go.
Now he sees this new game, apparently from this one guy who offered to help him and who he showed then his whole project, and he even manages to gather much more quickly patreons then Skull did in the beginning. So he post another poll "Should I even work further on Screw Wars?" (*because I want to create the kotor mod*), but again, many people voted for him to keep on...
I think it is very likely that he lost his motivation to work on Screw Wars and I dont expect much else going to happen here. Thank god we have this "other guy" creating a cool Star Wars game or?....

Darth Smut:
A guy who clearly has no problem "borrowing" (read: stealing) assets from the guy who he helped on his project for a short time. A guy who is active in this forum, answering questions, but goes radio silence when called on his bullshit. Maybe he will do updates more often then Skull, but how can you trust such a guy? I think if he starts his project like this, he will not have any scruples to deceive, cheat, scam his patreons if he want to.

I will not tell anyone how to spend their money but my advice would be to forget both projects and come back in a 6-12 months or so to see if somehow some magical awesome game comes out from either of these projects...

I do not know about the ripped assets but the game clearly shows potential.
Still a lot to do and we will see were this is going I like the idea of Something Unlimited in the Star Wars Universe but
atm its barley playable and with the amount of dead games I will not spend money on this project unless it moves way forward.

good to see you reply . and yes that is the best way course of action. its something between you guys. so you two need to talk it out. if you have paid for it. then he cannot say you scammed him. becouse you paid for it so you could use it. so lets stop this topic here. and see what becomes of this game. thats what we are here for am i right!!..
