Putting them all together, they pay him a monthly salary, but it's as if he could miss work whenever he wanted. If a company hire you for a job, they don't give a flying fuck if you need some time to chill. Without these crowndfundings, porn games would be a rarity, that's the positive aspect of it, but in the end you're paying half for the job and the other half to let the "worker" take a vacation whenever he wants.
Well, if you ain't paying then it's just not your problem.
What's actually sad is if you read the dev's previous announcements on the current state of the game, he kinda hints that he doesn't really give a flying fuck if he loses supporters or retains them. He's gonna finish and release the update whenever he feels like it.
At that point, what can anyone do? Dev isn't doing it for the money anymore. He only feels like doing the least of anything because he's trying to not let down certain supporters who were there for him on day one. Other than that, everything else just doesn't matter anymore.
Now knowing that the game development is very close to coming to an end, it does feel like the dev is being a stubborn perfectionist. While that may feel frustrating to people who've been paying and waiting for the delivery of a product, it's not like they're being forced to stay and pay. They can let go anytime and realize that the game's stifled development and release isn't really their problem but the dev's problem alone.
No one's simply gonna be able to help the dev on this problem at all. Personally, I'd urge the dev to just go ahead and release the game without worrying about flaws here and there because actual feedback can really help further improve game development anyway, but this game's development doesn't even have long anymore, and I'm not even supporting the dev in the first place, so that's not my place to try and help.
In the end, it is what it is. Do what you have to.
