I've posted this in the thread already, but that is about a separate game they were developing. Here's a post I wrote a while ago about it.
Not exactly true.
They had multiple games in development. This one was being developed by them, and a lot of it's code was used with permission / licensed / bought from another developer (Moral Sword of Asagi is the game title, IIRC). They even said the third character wouldn't have as many bondage / outfit levels since that's a feature the game they got code from has, and multiple outfits weren't coded for the third character. They basically decided to just stop the development of this one to focus on the comic for no reason beyond that (that they announced at least, again IIRC).
They had a different game that they were developing using their own money, and not directly patreon funded. That one had an outside programmer who basically took money and did no work (according to the announcement they gave). That's the one they then decided to not try to get another coder for, since they'd already lost too much money on the first coder / scammer.

from what I heard there were some major problems for the team financially not sure how true that was but I can see why that would stop itshame he won't just finish the games he already started
Well, this game at least they stopped to focus on their webcomic (which resulted in a drop in their patreon supporters). They had another game that (supposedly) just needed to be programmed, and the guy they hired to do the coding took the money and did nothing, then they decided to not bother looking for anyone else to code it.from what I heard there were some major problems for the team financially not sure how true that was but I can see why that would stop it
yeah that's about what I heard... the version I heard had more explosions and aliens in it though XDWell, this game at least they stopped to focus on their webcomic (which resulted in a drop in their patreon supporters). Also, Patreon (or rather, credit card companies) tightened their policies on what can and cannot be advertised on the platform.Well, this game at least they stopped to focus on their webcomic (which resulted in a drop in their patreon supporters).
It's been a while, but IIRC this game was abandoned before the major patreon crackdowns (but it's entirely possible I'm wrong). The other game wasn't even directly patreon funded, so any issues there wouldn't affect them getting a programmer to finish it at the time. The webcomic and the pinups were also going to fall under patreon's stricter rules enforcement, so those would have been hit too at the time. Also, Patreon (or rather, credit card companies) tightened their policies on what can and cannot be advertised on the platform.
Demo for the new game is out.
