The update is the same, just with either Ellie or Steph as the main menu, pick whichever girl you prefer.
Some events are obligatory, so you will know if you can't exit the PC.
The others you just need to look if there is a new amor the Titan in the first page, if there isn't, then you don't need to read anything.

I like the overall story but I don't like having to resolve the investigation, why can't the MC do it himself without player input? I'm more annoyed than amused, I don't want to bother too much about it. Same when you have to choose a response about the law

Sometimes it just doesn't work properly. You should get her message right when you arrive at the hideout and get the message with the password.
