From memory, if you believe the Dev, he moved into new premises not long ago (before the last update but i can't remember when) so he moved again after the last update. Think the issue was with both air con but also wifi speed.

As a result after the last update he moved premises and then had a major issue with a hot glue gun that badly burnt both hands and effectively stopped work from the last update through to about December and he only got up to full speed in Jan.

I tend to believe him. His general development rate and updates, including length etc, took a noticeable dip for a number of months and then picked up back to where it was previously. Leads to the idea of a complete hiatus of work, for whatever reason, before he started again. On that basis, in my head, this is 6 month update not a year.

He said in his dev post for April 30th that the total update, whilst only being 1 day so i imagine a lot of similarity, was over 3000 renders, and therefore twice the size of the combined total of 2024.

It seems weird that he'd say that and only produce a final update of 1600 renders long.

Guess we'll wait and see

At the time there was no reason for him to make up a story like that. I don't think there was any pressure for him to deliver an update that was late or anything. It seemed to come out of nowhere. Plus he had described earlier how he was working on the new office space. It all lined up in my opinion.

Hello everybody!

I am posting this separately and publicly so anybody not subscribed can see it prior to subscribing for v.0.17.

I have had some major problems putting the finishing touches to v.0.17, mainly that the game ends the previous updates in about 10 different places, and differently to how I thought I'd ended it.

There are scenes in my head I'd put in the game a year ago, but I haven't actually, and I've made the update based on those scenes being there, and now as I rush to put everything together for the date I've set I've found that there are half a dozen scenes I've built on from that do not exist.

Primarily this is Sunday night, I believed I'd made night time scenes for Lydia and all the Lydia + paths, as usually I always end the day with the the player going to sleep, whereas I haven't on Lydia's paths, they're all just black screens.

Because of this I've found playing through v.0.17 that the game feels really weird and off if you stayed with Lydia on Sunday night, basically as though it forgets you were there and just lurches from the dungeon straight into mid-morning.

Whilst the main adult scenes are done and fine on those Lydia routes, I need to create several bridging scenes and alter some of the others and change the dialogue to make the "at Lydia's" playthrough work, and I need more time to do this.

Not months, a couple of weeks at the very most.

However I know people have been waiting a long time, so for all the routes that do not involve Lydia:

I have released v.0.17 as a standalone playable BETA, with 1,650 new renders and three new animations, featuring the full update for those paths.

If anybody has subscribed prior to this post specifically for those paths please message me privately and if I do not have your path completed by the end of this month's billing cycle I can give you a refund!
