What giant wasp? As far as I know, the game has wasp encounters in the forest if you have them enabled, but nothing with a giant one. Are you thinking of the giant slug in Smuggler's Cave?

dayum new update took 7zip 12 1/2 minutes to extract, that compression tho. it seems like it averaged ~20-28% compression 14.4 MB unpacks to 42.7 MB... i didn't know .zip files could compress so much

Most of the game is one huge html-file which compresses extremely well. So nothing out of the ordinary here.
But 12½ minutes? Really? Something most be very wrong with your setup.
My 8 year old Atom took just 2 seconds.
