I'm pretty sure you can't meet the wraith without having the necklace beforehand tho?

But it did though, I was sleeping at the wolf cave when the possession started.
I haven't dove at the forest ruins at all during said time and all I saw was the new option called "Lake".

How do I trigger that scene via Seduce? I know it triggers via Refuse, but Seduce fails(?) every time and I go back to Pay/Refuse. And my question remains unanswered: what are the conditions to make Seduce not loop me back to Pay/Refuse?

You can't. The game is not kidding. It is too late now. The option is there for you to try and fail and gain some trauma because fuck you it's Porn Game Dark Souls. I started my current playthrough well before the Wraith was introduced. The Ivory Necklace already existed then, and I gave it to the museum rather early on. Once the Wraith was eventually added, it started showing up on blood moons (I was well past Halloween by that time), and was angry I took the necklace. Does that answer your question(s)?
