The first three options, Bailey won't be able to find you but will be waiting for you the moment you step into the Orphanage. The fourth option (Alex's Farm) is one scenario in which you can, to a certain degree, get away with not paying Bailey anything.every bad end location technically has a place to restore fatigue and activities to improve some stats to prevent pc from being stuck there forever, and they're almost all bailey-free... but seriously, some are actually quite decent safehouses, once you acquire the relevant stockholm syndrome trait.
notable mentions:
- eden's cabin in the woods. easy to get early game, as it's the second bailey punishment. can also be found in the wilds, if you get caught while being hunted while exploring middle to deep parts of the forest. pros: upgradeable, has a garden plot, and various activities to train skills and school grades. minimal danger while inside. close to the lake. cons: in the middle of nowhere in the woods, commute to town and back might be lengthy and dangerous, especially if you don't have a safe passage to and from the lake yet.
- wolf cave. if you get hunted in the woods but it's not eden - this is where you'll end up. pros: uhhh, puppies? has another garden plot. with good swimming skills and a bit of digging, has a shortcut to the middle of the ocean (50 minutes to the shore with good luck). located right next to eden's cabin, so it's easy to use amenities from both hideouts if unlocked. cons: next to the cabin in the middle of nowhere, getting stockholm is way harder and involves much more noncon, if the cabin is not unlocked - you won't even have access to a proper wardrobe.
- abandoned castle aka bird's nest in the moor outside of town. pros: upgradeable, your ownruinedpersonal castle, comes with a birb tf and waifu/husbando, can get wings and learn to fly. cons: located at the furthest end of the world. pretty barebones without upgrades. and you'll have to eat bugs.
- alex' farm outside of town. isn't actually a bad end. doesn't require any stockholm. pros: the biggest and most upgradeable second home in the game. doubles as a good source of income. easy tending/physique/deviancy gains. cons: grind fest to unlock, requiring good luck and a lot of time travelling to your nearest safehouse until you do. doubles as a money sink once you unlock it. occasionally raided by groups that can be as dangerous as bailey's thugs. not recommended until you're overall grade A at school.
There is also a fifth option - Joining the Temple and successfully pass the Vigil. Doing so has Bailey show up at the Temple instead to ask you for money, but if you refuse, you only lose Grace and nothing else. Bailey cannot do anything against the Temple, so they won't indirectly try to go after you for it like they can with Alex's Farm, either - not even letting strangers into your Orphanage room if you chose to continue sleeping in there. Of course, it does mean you have the Temple Vows to follow instead, but there is always the chastity belts/cages (which is free for virgins, by the way), or if you do break the Temple Vow, you can just choose to fight off the monks and nuns instead on inspection day to not suffer the consequences of doing so, whether it be directly or indirectly. Just like with Alex's Farm, however, you have to ensure that Bailey approaches you while you're at the Temple on payment day and they will only show up from 6am onwards, ensure you aren't at the Orphanage from midnight onwards on the day until Bailey's come for you in the Temple.
