Almost all NSFW games either have no meaningful gameplay or really terrible gameplay, so I kind of treasure the games that manage to do something worthwhile with gameplay while also having art and writing that I like, no matter what fetishes they may or may not have...because at least for me, there aren't a whole lot of those games that manage to stick most or every major point.
Right there with you. If anything I'm always a little wary of games that have particular things that I like in them because the popular/profitable way that most people write scenarios for those things too often rubs me the wrong way - with a rare exception here and there. I'm usually on the lookout for a game like this, where the gameplay, art, and writing come together in a way that makes everything work and oh yeah, look, it has some of the things I like there on the periphery.
I've always said that if the overall game is good enough I'll probably get what people like about its kinks even if I'm not into them myself. Degrees of Lewdity is a great example of how the game design brings what it's about to life, to the point where you're pulled in and actually want to play the game.
