While I suppose the priority for future content would be to work on other LIs that aren't as fleshed out yet, the whole Avery LI route has me rather intrigued. While I know some people complain about having more content for it, I hope the whole 'actually left the orphanage' thing would eventually translate to the Temple, especially if Sydney was brought along for the ride.

Degrees of Lewdity 0.5.5.5 is available. It adds Avery's mansion, a new home location on Danube Street, unlocked after Avery wins the card game at Bailey's flat, and the PC sufficiently charms Avery. This might be the largest DoL update yet.

I also have some bad news though. It seems my SubscribeStar has been soft banned, if that's the term. I can't post, and people can no longer subscribe or be billed. I've contacted support, but have yet to receive a reply, so I'm not sure what the exact problem is. I suspect it has something to do with the recent troubles with privacy and censorship around the world, and in the UK in particular. I talk about it a bit more on my blog:

I've no intention of stopping development, but if all traces of me are wiped from the internet tomorrow, know that making DoL has been a privilege that I never took for granted, and I have no regrets.

It's amazing how this game had the same core gameplay loop for half a decade (as far as I know at least), and refuses to make it any better, but will add realistic rain/snow systems.

I get devs can be a bit autistic but have the contributors also been filtered by it so much?

Compared to the drivel most NSFW games are DoL gameplay is absolutely stellar. I am sure everyone here would be interested to hear how you would "improve" the gameplay. Or maybe the game is just not for you.

Are there any mods that add in new positions? I've played this game for years and now that I'm coming back I don't know if I'll be able to really enjoy the new content if there isn't at least just a little more diversity in the beginning.

Cause it's unfortunately not due to 12 angry karens, those are just a front. There's multiple people both big and small and from different companies and rich groups and blah blah blah that are in on this, because they want control and monopoly and fuck if I know what else. shit sucks, and there isn't much we can directly do against this, at least not in a fast/quick manner.

Of course I don't believe we shouldn't fight it, we 100% should fight this however possible for as long as possible, but I know with things like this, its unfortunately slow.

the improvements over the core gameplay loop have been piling up over the time, glued together with dirt and duct tape on top of itself, and now not a single person knows how it works or even why it works. and that's just the code side. there's ~4700 sprites split over 2 sex positions, good luck adding a third one. it's too big and convoluted. the snow and rain systems are child's play in comparison, it takes way less work to add to them or replace them from scratch, therefore it's getting done.

i feel this. im waiting on new positions, dick swaying in rythym to sex, and other body parts jiggling etc. sucks that for years theres maybe less than five sex positions overall.

That's what makes it so difficult for me to process though. I've always viewed corporations as these utterly soulless behemoths wandering ever in search of greener pastures with total disregard for "moral" issues which they'd gleefully trample under for for the sake of the bottom line so long as there wasn't too much of a backlash. The face cam, log in with your id, track everything you do bs makes total sense, but I cannot for the life of me figure out the "hey steam ban some porn games." Like I really do think that that in particular might just be an overreaction to some minor backlash, just because what the hell else could it be?


It's not like I can't believe they'd do this, I just haven't found a satisfactory answer for what it is exactly they're getting out of this.

Regardless, I hope this project is able to continue full steam ahead, some of my favorites were already lost to censorious bullshit.

I've been pretty excited for a new update but I really have never had any interest in Avery as a LI, them and Kyler specifically. A bit disappointed that I personally won't be getting anything out of it but it is still nice to see a game producing big updates even if the content isn't what I care for. Hoping for more Whitney soon, but really even then I'd find a way to have it not feel like what I want, not sure what it would take for me to really be happy with it fully. More pregnancy is always nice but that's already mostly there and specific LI scenes are happening in their own pace. Maybe it's just that the loop is too predictable now and without enough variation for those who've been around for years?
