I don't mind people engaging with, overthinking about, and just plain old nerding out for something they really like...but this is just really inexplicable when the answer for why it is the way it is seems plainly obvious from multiple angles (in-world, out-of-world, and for gameplay) and there's no reason for players to engage with it if they don't want to.

You should consider the Temple in DOL lorewise is VERY Unchristian, my theory is that it split from the local Druids and became a sex-obsessed chastity cult, as to explain why they literally don't care about anything other than vaginal sex.

The Temple are a bunch of Human Supremacists. They only advocate sex between humans. The Elk? They advocate having constant orgies with tentacles, plant people and animal people (including actual animals), and even have ways of giving their cultists the experience of being THE tentacle/plant people/animal people. You get to experience both worlds!

Unfortunately, despite all that, the Elk ain't for me. That's because my religion involves cute angel girls and the Elk wants to turn them into demons - which while ain't so bad, they're strictly inferior to said cute angel girls, so I gotta side with the Temple with placing angel girls on a pedestal.

On a more serious note regarding winged transformations, if you started out with Bird TF via Feat Boosts, unlike the other animal TFs that either just require something that's already available from the start in the Shopping Centre or becomes available simply for having the full animal TF via Gwylan's Shop, the Bird TF clothing item that stops TF decay (Feathered Hair Clip) is strictly locked behind having Stockholm Syndrome with the Great Hawk. Because the only way of getting TF points for Bird TF is to either have sex with the Great Hawk or be lovey dovey with the Great Hawk, it means that anyone that starts out as Bird TF will currently without fail eventually lose the Bird TF after 70 days, unless they deliberately go out into the Moor to get Stockholm Syndrome: Great Hawk just to unlock the Feathered Hair Clip.

Rather than locking it behind having the Great Hawk as a LI, it should be treated the same as the other anti-TF decay items and instead look at whether the PC has the relevant TF for it to be unlocked at Gwylan's Shop. Or else introduce new ways of getting Bird TF points? Maybe because we can cook now, it could involve cooking and eating a certain many-limbed animal that a certain big bird (or bird girl with gigantic tits person) loves to hunt. Finally another use for the packaged animal in a box as well, just like how Potatoes in a box starts giving +Hope if the Loft Kitchen is installed.

Alright I'll take this opportunity to empty my bag:
I've been following this game for a while but have only recently tried playing the game at its fullest instead of just being a victim and hurting my wrist and other parts of my (IRL) body. What I mean is that I suddenly discovered an entire part of the game that I hadn't encountered before, whole parts that I didn't even know existed despite following this fucking thing for years, and I'm really impressed. I knew the original dev and (afterwards) the rest of the team were doing a great job and never have I had any complaints about this game regarding the updates, but damn, damn! I discovered like litteraly as much as half of the game last time when I finally really played it. Crazy content for almost everyone!

Anyway. My way to say: long live DoL! I'm afraid to try it with mods because it already sucks entire days out of my daily life when I go back to it...

Once you try out DoLP and find yourself enjoying it, you'll never be able to return back to normal DoL. It's to the point where if DoLP ever dies and no one really carries on what it had, I'll probably have a tough time trying to adjust back to vanilla DoL gameplay. If you're afraid of that happening to you, it might be a good idea to only stick to vanilla (or avoid any mods that is built off DoLP, which as per Dolmods are DoL Transmod Plus and DoL X-Change Mod)

Look, it's very simple: All other TF's give you a safety net. Plenty of wiggle room. You can lose them over time, but you can also get them back. Not angel.
First you need to keep your purity high for a long time, which in itself is a greater challenge than getting any other TF. And you can lose it at the drop of a hat.

If you fall after X days of low purity, that would be far better, none of this virginity BS.
It would give you time, the abiltiy to do something... and would make far more sense than what we have now.

Does stealing or lying affect purity? Can't recall that it does.

You can lose them over time, but you can also get them back. Not angel. First you need to keep your purity high for a long time,

angel can be lost over time as well, just stay at less than perfect purity at the start of the day for long enough. given that you didn't know that that's a thing - keeping your purity must be an easy enough task for you to fail to not do it. the tf can also be gained again any time, as long as your main virginity is intact. it's even possible to go from full demon to full angel, if you acquired demon tf by maintaining low purity first rather than falling from angel.

what, are you that bad at challenges? pick a chastity device from the temple - it's free for a virgin like you...r pc, if they aspire to be an angel.

While chastity belts/cages are the way to go (golden ones if you really want to make sure), it'd still be nice if Angels with their divine power could kind of create 'virgin barrier' temporarily. Maybe it won't save them from having their main virginity taken anyway, but at least it'd make them a bit more 'durable' if you're not having one on for some reason. It's already silly enough that while you're punching/kicking/headbutting/biting them and otherwise moving your body around, they have the time to try to stick it in mid-combat (and vice versa)? It's a game, sure, and one of the more rare hentai genres (alongside accidental sex), but you'd think against an enemy with a penis, they'd have to be able to hold the PC down or get a good grip on their hips first. Or that one could use their legs and/or body to try to 'pull away' still even if the tip is in (using physiques check, and maybe dancing (flexibility) and/or athletics (body strength) instead of 'how pissed off are your opponent(s)'), at the cost of fatigue? Though that would probably make combat too complicated with the possibilities, like if say the PC is fight two or more at a time and they're struggling to pull away, but if the PC isn't trying to fend the other attackers off, they could instead try to help 'push them in' instead.

Going into more silly territory, while it's usually easy enough to sneakily remove condoms, Demon characters should be able to channel their demonic energy to 'dissolve' condoms if they're already inside, causing the encounter to be completely raw instead. They should also have bonuses to their fighting capability if they already have a dick in them or in someone, especially if they're a Sadistic Demon. Though this would probably make more sense if you could disable/knockout individual fighters from making them orgasm enough times, instead of the current 'orgasm the entire group enough times'. Could have a Demon riding someone while spinning around like a spinning top while they punch and kick people, all the while 'draining' someone like the lewd succubus/incubus that you are.
