The oldest version I found is 1.0 dating from that period, but that's already a big release. Perhaps there were no pre-releases.
ROTFLFor the past few years, fans have been debating which has more text — the actual game or the changelogs.
Hello. Is it possible to translate the game into another language? I mean, the game is browser-based and I'm currently using Google Page Translator. And it works well, BUT after a couple of clicks and screen changes, the game freezes and requires a page reload. Is it possible to somehow make the game resistant to the page auto-translator?

There's too much text and too much of it relies on british context to feasibly or faithfully translate. Not to mention the pain it'd be recoding anything to any language that is gendered, given a lot relies on swapping out just the pronouns.

Most browser translators work similarly, but for more stable and reliable performance, many users recommend Firefox with the TWP extension.

The Chinese fans translated the entire game without complaints, despite the same challenges. It's a matter of time, effort, and dedication — not impossibility.

Considering the sheer length of some of their novels, DoL probably doesn't feel too long to translate at all.

A single 'Jade beauty' subplot(which resulted in a genocide of 3 villages) can dwarf the entirety of DoL in terms of writing length

I'm having performance issues for some reason. I don't remember this being an issue a few weeks back, but clicking on options to advance a turn is really slow and trying to look at clothes in the clothing store is unbearable. I tried disabling all performance options including images, but it doesn't make a difference. Anyone else notice this or have an solutions?
I'm on 5.4.9 and using Firefox if that helps. I also tried starting a new game, but it has the same issue.
EDIT: Well, it appears to be a Firefox issue. If I run the game in Chrome, I get not issues. I wonder if there's a setting in Firefox to correct this?

If you updated the browser, it might be the developers' doing—try rolling back to the old version. Or, as an alternative, you can use Joiplay. If you're using a smartphone...
Disclaimer: I play with DoLP, so the following may not necessarily be a vanilla DoL related issue:
I play on Chrome, and I experience the same thing eventually. At first everything is nearly instant as it usually is, but eventually it starts taking a second for the next page to come up, then eventually two, then it just gets slower and slower. Especially if you're 'savescumming' via History tab options (that '<' '>' thing you can turn on). I assume it's a caching issue as if I F5 refresh on the spot, it resets the 'lag' to 0 and I go back to 'near instant' speed again.
On the note of 'savescumming', it appears that in fights, if I 'go back' one turn it sometimes sets the enemy to 'recoiling in pain'. I assume this is more DoLP than DoL, but I certainly don't remember this happening on the prior official version (I tend to eventually drop off until a new official version and relevant DoLP update occuring before coming back once more)

This hoe is a more in-depth RPG than Cyberpunk 2077, god damn! Makes me want to try my hardest to prevent anything bad from happening to my character.

I liked this side story, although it was annoying that you could only do 2 endings per week (or less when stupid Kylar kidnaps your PC at the worst possible timing).
Using all those relics founds in the maze in that mini story was also fun in its own way. That bucket still had a tentacle army lol.
For some reason I thought for a moment that Nora and the gaoler are Gwylan's ancestors, even though I know I am completely wrong.

Is there a way to start the game as a Fox girl/any other animal without cheating? I'd like to play as one and I dont really wanna engage that much in bestiality stuff.

It is as previous user said BUT..
You can turn all animals into monsterpeople permanently in game settings, so this will become non-bestiality.

Doesn't DoLP have an option to start the game with a transformation? I haven't played it, but I thought I remembered someone mentioning that once upon a time.
