Okay, this Bailey stuff is nonsense. Why even have the school sim elements, characters you can romance and normal everyday life sim stuff when there's this criminal landlord who demands increasingly-ridiculous payments and the game itself wants to force you into prostitution just to pay the bills? Granted, a lot of things in this game don't make sense - the insane amount of rapists roaming the streets, the pillory, the institutionalized sexual abuse at the school, the fact that you get punished for fending off molesters - but this Bailey situation not only makes no sense because you could just easily live elsewhere for the money he's asking without the threat of gang-rape looming over you, it's also a terrible game mechanic that stresses you out, with no reward for complying. It's either pay up or beast gangrape, no middle ground. At least be a normal pervy life sim and allow us to blow/eat out the lecherous landlord/lady instead of paying rent, I mean damn.

The developer cleary had a very specific type of game in mind when making this (which in turn attracted a fan base that understood the game's objective and enjoys it), and for all intents and purposes he's already succeced in his goals even tough the game is under constant and active development, meaning that it can only get better at what it set out to achieve.

So given the game's popularity despite it's themes and quirky gameplay that is, well, very niche (putting it nicely) I think it's pretty much safe to say that you're objectively wrong. But hey, you're entitled to your own opinion so please carry on.

Hey folks, anyone know how the repair box service works? It's the additional option that makes you pay 50£ in advance, with a box appearing near your wardrobe where you can place all the outfits. I used it, shipped nearly all my items, then waited and... nothing happened. Not sure if it is broken or not, but when I go to the tailor again they say to look at my wardrobe, then I walk back to my wardrobe and I can't find any additional option to get my repaired stuff back. They wardrobe is still empty though. I think the game is trying to teach me about the unreliability of vote-by-mail, but I'm not sure (jk)

Edit: It seems there's some misinformation. I read that it would take about 10 minutes for stuff to reappear, and the fact that the tailor told me it's at the wardrobe was also misleading. My full clothing sets spawned back the next day.

I generally find that, if a game isn't about a dominant male protagonist building a harem and fucking every girl that moves, there's almost always someone requesting that the game move in that direction, regardless of if it fits the game's tone or mechanics. Not necessarily all those things at once, mind, but there's usually a flow in that direction, and almost never in the other.

If I'm being charitable; I think they just don't get how what they're suggesting fundamentally changes what people find interesting about a game. If I'm being uncharitable - they just don't care, they're either trolling or just want what they want regardless. Either they only want porn on a superficial level (i.e. they don't care about the tone or feeling the game is trying to convey, they just want to see porn) or just don't get that people might like stuff they don't like.

I mean, I don't know how everyone feels about this, but it feels kinda obvious to me that the game is about playing an "innocent" kid struggling against a corrupted town - sometimes successfully, sometimes not, but the key words there being innocent and struggling. While it doesn't rule out the PC being dominant or using their sexuality in some contexts - attempting to make money through prostitution (especially when desperate for cash) or trying to push for certain positions when in sexual encounters, for example - introducing the ability for them to rape other characters does go a bit too far. It's not something excusable as "dealing with a bad situation" or anything like that, it's the character actively falling to the town's depravity, and at that point, I think the game's over? You're no longer struggling against it, you're embracing it. That definitely feels like an endgame scenario to me.

I guess it should not be too easy. If MC walks in heels without the skills, MC stumbles, falls, gets raped and learns nothing.
There are dance and riding lessons which are a bit hard to discover. (Update: riding increases thigh!)
But a walk on the beach could raise the leg skill. It's a totally safe event anyway.

TBH the payment is just the basic motivation to get the ball rolling and to be a driving force as the game has no liner story progression and Vrel likes his tropes so includes them at every turn. There is a deep lore reason to why the town is as it as(Rapeington) which is there to be discovered by the gamer. Like others have said "fight" can be either bash or seduce so the "get the landlord off" is an option. And the game doesn't FORCE you into prostitution. It may suggest it and push you towards it but there are a couple of lucritive paths for you that don't center around sex. You just have to find them and you are not going to know about them off the bat. Many of us like the "purity" challenge way of playing which is to avoid sex like the plague and it can be done. Don't be afraid to ask questions once the flame wars die down abit

The feet skill is now useful beyond sex. Dancing in heels gives a nice income while staying pure. And kicking is also nice. (For the one who does the kicking^^)
But this also needs non-lewd ways to raise this skill. ATM there is only the dance lesson.
The walk on the beach or in the park would be logical addition. The Wiki describes it this way but it is not implemented.

Sure, I'd like to know the alternatives. I'm not even trying to do a "purity" run, there are aspects of the game that I like and enjoy - the exhibitionism, the school bully, the dancing/stripping/prostitution content when it's based on consent. The Bailey character just makes it much harder to enjoy them at my own pace without cheating.

What the actual fuck do you think this is? A competition about who the game caters to more/most??? Like some stupid ass sibling rivalry over mommy and or daddy's affection and attention more??? I think it's safe to say that with literally almost any entertainment product EVER that you can tell that there's a target audience the creator(s) are AIMING for directly, either because it's what they like, or because of some varying other reasons that could explain their aim/goal. It's VERY CLEAR what this game aims for.

And what's even FUNNIER to me about this is how you make it sound like people don't WANT the game to improve. That's literally not it at all. The game has a target audience, and you're CLEARLY not apart of it, but instead of letting those the game is entirely suited for enjoy it, you're effectively trying to TAKE THAT from them to make it into something that could be found almost ANYWHERE already.

This game is rare as hell in it's uniqueness, and you want to, in my perspective? TARNISH that uniqueness selfishly just to please you. You're right, and we could be wrong about what the dev intends. But as far as I know, we all mostly understand what the game itself has DESCRIBED itself to be, and took it for what it was, and loved it for that, instead of trying to make it into something it's PLAINLY not.

Degrees of Lewdity is an erotic game. You play an 18-year-old boy or girl in a town full of people with lewd intentions. Go to school and find honest work, turn to a life of crime, or sell your body in more carnal ways.

What you want is actively debasing what the game describes itself to be, and for it to be this far along in it's development, to try to make it turn ship like you want now? That would only create problems for the developer either way as far as feature creep and bloat features go in the first place. This is not a sibling rivalry, and this is, to me, almost ENTIRELY not even up for debate. Never was, never will be.

will the BUTT growth be revised, please? today i was playing and Whitney came and put a parasite in the bum and i was , "OMG! finally! big butt grow!!" but was the slime bug, not the urchin... slime parasite reduce size so i was really pissed! anticlimactic as fuck almost throw my Android to the wall.. This is Stupid and has to be fix, MC has the butt in "slender" which is the most small size, and NPC puts a slime? what a retarded game mechanics!!! if it's small the logic is NPC puts a Urchin to make it grow and vice versa. is up to the player to let the parasite and the effect work or remove it at the hospital, is that too much to code? sorry but i am really upset about this feature. SMH...

I have this issue where the lower half of the swimsuit keeps breaking when I am heading for swimming class. I've tried buying new swimsuits and it keeps happening.

Edit: Oh, I think it's a forced event where I am supposed to talk to the teacher...

Use a bikinis, you can in the swim lesson, even microkinis, and this solves this issue of lower parts getting ruined.

Well depending on how "safe" you want to play there is a range of jobs/money options. The Cafe starts small but then progresses to a beast of a chef job and has very good attached content as well and is relitivly safe. If you dance at the Club and not the Brothel it's both safe and consential with not much of a pay gap between the venues. Both have good content for those areas as well like the Police raid at Briars and Bartender work at the Club. On the other end you have theft which pays awesome but watchout for cops, guards and the targets. And the best/hardest job Treasure hunting. It rewards exploration but can punish you HARD(save scumming advised). And yeah about Bailey but they are just ment to be a driving force to push you forward and cheating is a fine option if you're just looking to see what's in the game.

It is natural for people to want games to cater to them, sure, but there's a significant difference between asking for a fetish that integrates will with current content or is limited to its own avoidable scenes vs one that changes the nature of the game. It's like complaining an RTS game isn't an FPS, or that a rom-com isn't an action move. It's kinda a dick move to people who are here for the aspects you want to remove.

That said, I don't think popularity alone explains the trend. People wanting games to be fundamentally different things should be proportional with popularity, but it's not, even if going by the most favourable numbers given in studies on who engages with porn content. Even accounting for selection bias (i.e. I'm not in dom-male-protag-harem topics much), there's basically nobody complaining in the threads of good games that they aren't sub-fem-protag-rapefests or w/e. And it's not because that market is saturated or the other is starved, either - you only have to look at the the most popular games list to see that. It does just feel like certain people feel entitled.
