My 11 yr oldAMD fx 6300 six core with GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, 16gb
Game runs perfectly for me. No idea what half the people here are doing wrong that they have such issues. Or what I'm doing right lol

The game is very well optimized if you ask me. What you get here is already polished to what you're actually getting and runs very well on even mid rigs. Sounds like most coomers here dont know how to optimize their own computer and blames the game instead.

I saw someone bitching about a 3060 and getting shit frames when I was running this on a 1070 with a 1100T amd and getting solid 60-80+ fps BEFORE it got its first environmental optimization. Sometimes its not just your hardware that counts, but your settings and trash like MacAfee running in the background.

Most of y'all don't pay for this game. And the ones that do, pay a dollar. Even my third world ass can afford that. Sure the game has it's problems, but this is a solo developer on a giant project and like most people have pointed out, it works. Don't expect some AAA indie game. For a 0.15 release this game has done more and is probably in the 10th percentile of games, let alone solo developers.

At the end of the day, if it's a product you pay for, sure. Voice your complaints. as a consumer has the rights to do so. But understand the situation you and the game are in. It's not EA.

For all those who complain about slow Progress of this Game. Let me just point out, that DEVOLUTION Has indeed a full time Job as a Teacher at a University.

As for the claim of this game working with Network Connection. It does not. You subscribe at Patreon for a Tier, enter DEVOLUTIONs Discord, use the Bot there to get a password apropriate to your Subscription Tier and download the corresponding File, to be placed in the Game Directory. From there on you Start the Game, enter the Password and get the extra Options of your Tier unlocked ingame. Thats how it works.

This thread sure did derail fast since my last time here... And it's still the same argument where some are claiming their potato machine can run the game at 60 FPS on high/maxed settings (which I highly doubt).

What's new is seeing someone claim that the Patreon codes somehow add content to the game? Sorry to say but the only thing the codes do is exactly what's been said by RisenKill and ThatWeirdGuyWithaWeirdHat. The short of it is the Patreon codes DO NOT ADD CONTENT, BUT UNLOCK ALREADY EXISTING CONTENT.

As for performance... The game lacks optimizations common in non-porn games since it's an aspect of game development that is difficult to do. The poor performance has nothing to do with "different versions", and everything to do with the fact that most of this game is stitched together with assets from the UE store. The guys at CodeHatch are a prime example of how important it is for a dev to have some level of competency in optimization if said dev wants to ship an enjoyable product.

Also if you guys wanna run this game faster while not sacrificing much quality; the textures don't really change much past Medium, and Ultra vs High is a 95% difference with about a 10% FPS boost. If your rig is a potato just run on Medium graphics, High Game Code, and Very/High Resolution. I was able to hit consistent 50-60 on my 3400G.

Most likely next month. Updates are usually 3 months apart and the last substantial one was 3 months ago, as well as older updates taking 3 months to develop.

Since they decided the discord is somehow paid only, can someone provide me with a basic rundown of the objectives of the game or what I'm really supposed to do? I've tried it for a bit, and it seems like some weird porn version of tarkov, the map is very confusing and disorienting to navigate and I still have no idea what I'm supposed to do, cheers.

The outskirts and swamp maps are linked and you can enter either and come out the other. The main map you start in is new to 15 and you just have to explore and get used to it a bit. The map is not very user friendly, but I believe it is supposed to be pretty basic so that you only have an idea of the layout. Sorta like DayZ, I just had to explore and get used to it so that I don't need the map after a time.
As far as what you're supposed to do... whatever you want. There are no goals or tasks yet. Personally, I created a persona of Ivy that is obsessed with fucking tentacles after the first one graped her. Scared at first, then wanted nothing more. Kinda like Lara with Horse where she clearly gets hurt, but ultimately she likes it and keeps coming back for more.
