Indeed, there is some sense in delaying the development of a project that is financed by voluntary donations and at the same time the developers are not accountable to anyone.
But there is a downside. With the current update release dates:
v0.1 November 2022,
v0.2 April 2023 (+5 months),
v0.3 December 2023 (+8 months),
v0.3.5 September 2024 (+9 months).
v0.4 ???? (and it’s already June 2025 on the calendar +8 months)
There is a visible trend towards increasing the time between updates.
And if this trend continues, then the developers run a very high risk of losing all interest in their game.
In addition, a long delay in updates can lead to the developers themselves losing interest in their game. Since they do not see the results of their work, and most importantly, feedback from players about their work. Someone will have new interests and activities, someone will start earning extra money on the side, and as a result, the team may fall apart and there will be no one to finish the game.
Of course, I wish the team success and hope that no matter how bad things are, they will finish the game. But they simply need a schedule with stable updates, at least once every 3 months. Even if these are patches for the current version. They need to show the results of their work not only in the text of reports, but also in action.
