So I'm stuck in class and cannot leave because the MC has a master plan to meet with Alicia after class to get her to the park, but clicking on the desk to start class is NOT working and trying to leave the class room is not allowed due to pending event. What is the fix for this?

You have to wade through other events first if I remember correctly its was kara (do -trigger- party event) <-> (which concurrently leads into the) Sofia (event) -> (then the) Erica (event) this is extremely unclear the order of operation on the linking of these events, a sentence like "do so so events first or I should let her cool down for awhile shes very angry at me maybe look in on so so" would make these directions more precise and give the player a direction to go in.
