you might be thinking of portals of phereon, the monster breeder game from same developer I think
I totally played Portals of Phereon... but I have no recollection of the gameplay at all. I think I must have dropped out fast.

[EDIT] So, yeah, what other people are saying. Too complicated.

Not to say it's too complicated to play once you're accustomed to it, but it's BAM! in your face from the start. If they had like a three week intro period where the mechanics were gradually introduced it would be more accessible, IMO.

Hmmm, I'd love to know if it's up to the player what type of content they wanna engage with, I do know I checked out portals of Phereon, but I admittedly don't recall if there were settings for that sorta stuff, the game was too complicated for me to play for long. :D

Oh he finally gave this game a name, I was wondering what this was. Amazing art, gameplay is okay but not as interesting as PoP.

How good is the story?
Because the artstyle is cute in a way, but the only feelings it invokes in me are platonic.

Yeah, that's my recollection as well. There's three games that I've totally bounced off here - that one, one of the brothel trainers & the city rpg html one where you can recruit NPCs to your manor (and then.. each one has a time schedule, multiple possible jobs, an education path with 10 different skills and OMFG too much detail). The last one was the most promising. And... if I bounce off something, it's pretty much "manual, wiki and walkthrough required" territory (I played through that buggy mess of a Summer Camp to get the scientology ending and the 90% of content no-one knew existed due to poor mechanics).

Anyhow, I happen to like the art style. I'll give it a go.. but those little boxes with "anal" and "rough" each with a separate cost and so on are flagging warning lights that this is going to be another mechanical nightmare fest of pointless complexity.
