I saw it only a few times, done by evil people like orcs, so that they would have armor, hostage and sex toy all at once.
This game takes an unusual turn by making it the other way around.

Also, some fantasy video games have adventurers, with their levels and huge numbers of hitpoints, be much tougher than any armor (which can never be tougher than a golem of the same material).

Finally, more mainstream games have non-lewd fusion as a way to use powers. Such as a magical girl getting a different outfit after transformation depending on which spirit she summons to her aid.

I got crit 1-shot by the goblin boss twice in a row

Just level up as best as you can and then spam the bind move instead of fighting her fair, and then the rest is more or less praying that it succeeds. Later on, you get the stun move it become much easier
