It's been a while since I played this but I think MC is supposed to be talentless, without his "roommate" he would have not join the school or even survive the first day there.
I think the best you should expect is MC learning to use the power he's been given and use it as his own

Same on being awhile but I wanted to add something: Dont they technically make a point about the MC being the 'new form' of them after awhile? So it would make sense to have the mc start training in a sense with the oni/demons at some point (Forgot what their names are) but not the maid/guardian since id feel theyd be to worried to hurt them?

Do I really have to wait three or more months for chapter 4? I don't think I can do it, this game is so good...

Assuming he sticks to his current schedule, then yeah, around 3 months seems pretty much spot on.

He is also trying to hide his true power, avoid giving away who he is

Unrelated Sidenote: Bringing up Tabitha being watched and possibly attacked, then the MC thinking he should have someone watch her only to then proceeds to forget about it is slightly annoying lol
