God... I don't know if anyone pointed it out already, but that 'Bad End Dungeon' must be the worst designed piece of sh*t padding ever put in a game.

Some games have grinding, some games make you repeat things after dying from a mistake... and then there is this.
Got a new char?
Time to repeat the same boring thing again... and again... and again.
Dear designers, I don't care if this dungeon is designed to be frustrating, but a puzzle is only fun the first time you do it.
If you make me do it again, it's just going through the motion over and over and f*cking over again, to a point where it isn't frustrating anymore, but an irritating waste of my time.

Maybe I could have done this part better?
Who knows, time to play the damn thing over again, skip the same scenes (plus 3 added ones) yet again.
It isn't frustrating because it's difficult, it's frustrating because the game makes me repeat content... and not hard content, but already solved puzzles, which can't be more boring, even if the dev tried.

I don't care if it's optional (for the time being), as soon as rewards are connected, I wanna do this stuff.
But it's like as if you play 'Super Mario' and can only play till 1-3, but not beat it.
Then you need to restart the game and play from 1-1 to 2-3.
Then you need to restart the game and play from 1-1 to 3-3.
The only difference is that it isn't a fun Jump'n'Run, it's a puzzle that's already been solved.

EDIT: Aside from that, the game is great.
But this one semi-prominent section puts a dent into the the game.

You can't really beat that dungeon before getting your full roster, and even then the real "reward" is collecting the bad end CGs. I'd say don't bother with trying to beat it.

The rest of the game is mercifully free of "losing for content", which is a staple in this sub-genre. But apparently there are enough fans, that it was included in this form.

The thing is that I don't bother beating it, but there are still rewards you can get.
You basically have to try it again when getting a new partymember, just to see how far you get in order to get more rewards, only to do EVERYTHING the next time all over again.

The idea to make it a puzzle is nice, but not when you need to repeat everything after a mistake or after getting as far as possible.
Plus, some sections require for you to wait till enemies move out of the way, which drags even more on.

And even if I just do it one time when I could technically beat it, there is still the trial&error factor.
Finding all the secret paths, managing items as perfect as possible.
You can mess up without noticing it, only to notice later that you can't progress further.
And it's back to square 1.

All the rewards (iirc) you can get from bad end dungeon can be obtained in doremi kingdom shop instead. So bad end is even more skippable.

I wish I knew too so I didn't have to waste my time on the X number of attempts where even if you follow the guide one screw up fucks up your entire run.
Eventually I got so sick of it that I cheated to the end and its really not worth it.

But how fucking annoyed we got at this piece of shit dungeon makes what happens later a lot more satisfying I'll say at least.

Yeah, the rewards will be later on at a shop.
But there are also the Enemy infos... and I don't know if they stack, but it's nice to have 2 (albeit not needed if you know what you are doing).
It's just so weird, I mean, it is designed in a way to make you go through it again and again, hence why there are rewards sprinkled throughout and why you can go further and further.

But man... everyone who complains about running back to a boss in a Souls-Like should play this dungeon, people would go nuts.
"Our game is XX hours long!"
Yeah, cause the player spends hours doing things he already did 10 times.

I still look forward to the rest, but I doubt I will do this section without a guide.
There is never a reason why I should try out if a specific enemy drops something, because if it doesn't and I wasted a char/life, I might as well start over.
Not being able to save in a trial&error section is just so backwards design.
Imagine playing 'Another World' ('Out of this World') and you go back to the beginning each time you die.

Yeah ok... no way I gonna do this without a guide.
The explanation about what to do in B12 was confusing enough... but what!?
How is someone going to figure that out?
And again, and I can't stress this enough, without saving in-between, just doing random crap that makes no sense.

"Do some random sh*t and a key will appear."
Yeah... sure...
I don't even know what exactly triggered it.
