The translator is a type of program called an injector. The game files are fully stored in the .exe, therefore that's the best way to apply the translation since there are no archives to interact with. The way injectors interact with .exe files is always going to trigger antivirus programs, because actual viruses use the same functionality. There's nothing you can do about that.

All this because the Japanese devs can't be assed to translate two lines of dialogue and UI commands into English like every normal developer from any other country.

Oh and the Trojan translation patch also sucks.

Nah it’s just this game (and older ones) that’s just not translated by the dev. Their newer works like Shin-sei-den have their dedicated translations already.
