I don't recall the context anymore but I think it was that guy was cringe and he sounded like one of those dudes who think NTR is realistic.

I'm here for the corn the same way as everyone else, but I see NTR corn as just... The mechanic plot of normal corn, you won't ever deliver a pizza to a hot babe who wants to gargle on your balls sadly.

I get you. Some of these people get hypercritical about a game. Most of them have No concept on How to write a story and based on some of their comments, they can't even compose a decent comment. They don't realize or care that most devs are first timers with very little skill in writing stories themselves.
Since I've started writing my own stories, I realize how difficult writing for content is, and I'm pretty good at writing short stories! I take game writing with a grain of salt. I only get critical when I see that it starts out well and then see the writing regress, otherwise I leave them alone. The devs have enough to worry about.

I think you misunderstand my point, I mean that tropey writing can be forgiven by me and I don't treat any of this as reality. Some people consume NTR as if it was some sort of "real" reddit-tier story.

My point wasn't about the writing of the game itself, you can go and call it trash and all of that, and I believe the idea that you need to know how to write to criticize a plot is very elitist and honestly foolish.

In fact I would go as far as to claim that ignorance about writing conventions can make your critique better sometimes as you will likely just react very "raw" to the story. So stuff that only the writer cared about will be filtered and only the meat will be noticed, and sometimes writers need somebody to point out what that meat looks like from a outside perspective. At least in my opinion, which by the sound of your words, you will disagree with.

We are not seeing this from the same point of view, no offense meant.
