See I think it could be well, basically like the game now but from their point of view. I mean the older one use to make the one guy wear a mask to be in her presences because he had a ugly face she said and that was the only way she could have sex with him. So you could have them still mostly being the dominate ones and having sex. I mean even if during the sex scene the guy in the mask was the "top" during sex she still controlled when and how he was allowed to have sex with her. Then you could have the stalker make cameo's from time to time to remind the girls who is the real boss in the area. I think personally it could be a fun game if done well.
It is excellent idea and I am sure it would have its supporters, but Fem protag games and the scenario listed above are just not for me. It is similar to foot content; I don't find any of it remotely enticing. I would get the same amount of pleasure watching foot stuff or fem protag as I would watching someone work on financial statements. Accountants may get off on that shit, but not me.

Regardless, I hope Desert Stalker doesn't end anytime soon because it has taken a lot of arduous searching for me to finally find my version of the perfect AVN game. Do you realise how many of my sperm children had to perish when I half-heartedly dry wanked them into a crusty sock to sub-par AVNs before I discovered this worthy production? Now they can at least perish to a good cause and great game. Their sacrifice and slow desiccation will now mean something.

Yeah not everything is for everyone. I mean I love sandbox games but not everyone does. I was only pointing out how I think it could work well.

I mean DS is a good game I actually tend not to like male protag games, because I think most of the MC's are just poorly done and I can not remotely relate to them. So I like female protag games more, I can't relate to them either but at least I get to experience things from a different point of view than my normal life if that makes sense.

I have no clue what the long term plans for DS is, but if/when it ends. I would be interested in a game like what I posted and until then I am enjoying DS.

I really enjoy all of the raider girl scenes and they quickly moved up my list of favourites. That said, I don't think I have much interest in a spin-off game based solely on raider girls and certainly not if it is a 100% femMC where you are playing as one of them. That kind of game would either be mostly lesbian or mostly corruption where you get groped and graped by every rando marauder that happens by. None of that is my cup of tea.
Agreed, but I think this kind of setting and lore would be a great place to think outside the lesbian or corruption female protag tropes.

Like Nutluck suggests.

Female protagonist porn games are generally difficult to make than Male protagonist. The challenge really boils down to one issue: male and female sexuality greatly differ from each others. Males have harems, females don't. Females are stuck with a child, males not. Male can have multiple of partners, females can't. Basically in FP games the MC either is a slut, is raped/groped/abused, or is lesbian. Even in f95zone it is difficult to find a porngame where FP acts like a male, for these kind of games generally are not very enjoyable. Simply to put it, there is no pokemon game where FP collects all dicks, there is very little demand for games where MC acts like a prostitute. MP is even not always depicted during the sex, but female is always. In this sense the FP game would be repeating the same girl constantly, and no matter how pretty she is the player will get tired of seeing her.

Simply to put it, when there is FP the genre has to be different. FP often are involved not in a physical adventure, but in a mystical, mind games, or social dilemmas. Rise of White Flower is a good example of FP that acts like a male, basically she is a highschool girl in a fantasy world. Then these is Sarah Rose must survive, where the FP is more traditional, but even then half of bedpartners are females. Claire's Quest has a bit of both, but in essence it is a abuse-mystery game. Even Desert Stalker follows these rules: Shani is down in a wonderland while her dad slays men and builds his harem. Her dad can suggest an elf to become his slave, but Shani won't do the same. If the themes were reversed the Desert Stalker would suck, it would not work other way around.

The first part is, I think, correct, the second part is partially correct. Most men, for instance, don't have multiple partners. Nor would they want that if they could.

I think lesbian sexuality works differently than straight female sexuality, although there are also straight females who are generally the aggressor (which does not necessarily imply multiple partners).

Games where the FP acts like a prostitute (the "corruption genre", often combined with NTR) are unfortunately quite common. So several people must like those...

In this sense the FP game would be repeating the same girl constantly, and no matter how pretty she is the player will get tired of seeing her.
I disagree with that. It's just a question of good writing, which is not that easy for a lot of devs.

Some of these games are in your signature, so you must like them...
But I agree on your recommendations.

There is a "semi" rule(?) in the animal kingdom, bigger the male compared to the female, then bigger his harem. Similar size ->1:1 family, big male big harem. Human male is about 15 kg heavier than female, almost 25%. So it's normal to have a few males with more than one female.

I think there's a simpler explanation for it than that. I think it comes down to demographics and reader perspective. These AVNs are made in a way where the main character is often meant to feel like an avatar for the reader, and the overwhelming majority of AVN consumers are straight adult men. I think it's easier for most men to imagine his character going forth and banging several of his favorite girls in a VN rather than imagine his favorite girl getting banged by several different dudes.

I'm personally not averse to the occasional female protagonist if it's done as sort of a temporary side arc, sort of like Shani in DS or Zoey in BaDIK. Both of those situations occurred because part of the story needed to be told from her perspective. But a full FP VN? Not interested.

Nail on the head mate. Both examples are perfect too. The better the VN gets, the worse affect it has also. Don't think many men want the character they "fell for/connected with" to be a whore.

Well there's the practicality of it too. Imagine two remote islands. On one, you have a hundred women but only one man. On the other island, a hundred men but only one woman. Which island is going to repopulate the fastest?

And repopulation is definitely a factor in the dystopian setting of Desert Stalker. It's the explanation behind the odd sexual customs in the story. People fuck like rabbits because they kind of have to.

We're into the second week of the year now, and as I've stated in , I'm aiming for a release at the end of january.

I have a couple days extra in case before I head off for a few weeks, so it could also be in the first week of february.
Regardless, I'm writing the script at the moment, doing the animations, so that we can go over what we've got so far for the update and see what else we can include in the remaining time.

3-4 weeks to go! Omar won't like the update.

Render progress:
Rabiah's house continuation (summed it up):
- Nadia's room: 80%
- Dining room: 60%
- Living room: 90%
Basement:
- Fairy's scenes: 70%

Harem:
- Emilia solo: 90%
- Zahra solo: 90%
Reworks:
d1e (Zahra's introduction) [this time for real]: 90%
(More to follow...)

It depends on the setting too. In the modern day, we have access to effective birth control, and so women are free to sleep with multiple partners with no consequences. A fantasy setting could invent a special contraceptive herb or spell to get the same result.

It's a demographic thing as well as a societal thing. Beyond audience appeal, it's also expected of ambitious men to pursue multiple women, and the number of women he sleeps with becomes the mark of his success. On the other hand, there are still many people who will regard a similarly promiscuous woman as nothing but a slut.

I've seen several games which I thought might have potential as a female-POV visual novel. Ultimately though, I think the primary obstacle will always be the writing.

I don't know about you, but although I know plenty of ambitious men, having a porn-game-like harem was never one of their goals.

Ambitious men are generally too busy with work / business pursuits to have time for more than one woman / family.

For an ambitious man, having multiple (ex-) girlfriends would rather be liability. If you are famous, you need to worry about them yapping to the press or otherwise damaging your reputation (e.g. the British royal family). If you are wealthy, you need to worry about them suing you for some kind of settlement (e.g. Jeff Bezos). All things you don't need.

Also from a moral standpoint, it's not nearly as clear cut as you make it out to be. Even though people won't use the epithet "slut" for a man as for a woman, it doesn't mean that fucking around is generally a way for a man to boost his reputation.

When I mean "ambition", I'm not talking about being the cool kid in high school. I'm talking about real power and money.

I was with you until you brought up the morality part. The type of people that can actually afford a harem lifestyle generally do not allow such petty things as morals to get in the way. Old money or new, such things are for peasants to worry about.

You've also overlooked a very specific group of wealthy individuals that are not as careful with their reputations or their assets. It's not even a little bit uncommon for professional athletes and music industry types to decorate their mansions with THOTs.

In the context of the game setting, the MC having a harem would be much more like that of the days of early civilizations and empires. The men who had harems were those who could afford them. The women in them were there because it was it was beneficial or because it was arranged for them to be there. Symbolic marriages as non-aggression pacts and the like. Anyone found being inappropriate with them would pay a heavy price. Even if they too were members of the harem.
