Either way, for me personally there's a shit ton of content that's been reworked and other side quests being added into v0.17, so I'm personally gonna replay the game just to re-experience DS from scratch so I can keep the plot and other side characters/missions top of mind to help me refresh everything that's gone on since playing v0.16

I've actually stopped bothering with updates until it hits Steam/is done. Well, I wouldn't mind replaying DS again. Especially since it will finally make me feel the interesting and newly reworked new scenes again!

The bottom line though is that we can all agree that the improvements made to DS are actually quite impressive and would warrant a re-run of the game if not in the short term, at-least in the long term when the game nears or is close to completion as possible.

Part of the agreement with Steam is you can't distribute the product for free elsewhere. So there will be no more public releases. This is why Ravager Chapter IV+ isn't part of the public release. This is why every other game that is going on steam doesn't have a public release. So you'll have to wait for a steam release to be cracked and distributed on this site.

They've said with all the reworked content and things added now at the beginning and middle of the game that is highly recommended to restart from the beginning anyway.

Why do people act like it will take them 25 years to catch up to new content after the rework for some reason? Bruv be real, you ain't gonna read it all from the beginning but instead literally just spam tf out of the skip button to get there.

Yeah, I don't think that's true. You just can't give out steam keys for free. Having a non-steam version available for download is fine. Plenty of devs will say otherwise though because it gives them an excuse to stop public updates.
