Love the game and hope they are successful on Steam, but I am not replaying it just because the dev decided to make the new update incompatible with old saves. Maybe when the game is fully finished I will return and play all of it.

Are you sure you're running v0.17.1.1 Steam and not 0.17 beta?
(And, if you're on the release version and have played the beta before, I'd clear the persistent file(s) + saves first & start over.)

But at least you know that's not their intent. And if the game is that good, I think you'll agree that most of us are willing to get over things that are outside of their control (to a degree). The most widespread payment processors in the west are currently in a crusade against some types of porn they dislike (or that's what they just want to show to their investors), I think Patreon itself is just bending to their will. I don't know why payment processors think we care about their "brand", or think they have the right to tell people how to spend their money legally, but they have a lot of power. Visa even managed to bully several Japanese websites (about manga but I assume they had questionable hentai) to shut down. In that regard, I think even subscribestar isn't totally safe if one day things really got a lot worse, but what can we do. We're not there yet though.

Some quests are bugged and prevent progress, the raider quest just went poof and now I'm stuck with the queen "waiting" a few days.
edit: Make sure to do raiders quest before you finish Fairy. This seems to lock you out at some point.

The dialogue actually changes to reflect what you put in so they are his daughters if you make them so. Also the models are clearly intended to be Zahra's blood daughters.

i've seen some dev who removed content because they are scare losing money and getting banned from patreon, seems like this one is one of them.
i actually planning to buying on steam but i'm against censorship and content removed so i just gonna watch how the game progress for now.

why would you still be surprised about people not bothering to read back? weren't you here when the beta version was up and every page was a cycle of the same 2 or 3 questions?
I've been quickly skipping through 0.16 and 0.17 side by side and am impressed with a lot of the earlier scenes being re-rendered. Improves the game quality making it more consistent.
I haven't gone through the whole game comparison yet, but it seems that "Ain's Massage" may have been removed (as well as the earlier Zahra & Ain scene in the game, and previously discussed in this thread) or have I not reached that bit yet?

Interesting that the night visit at Zeta was re-worked in a way that the mutant is now not a slave abused by bad owner, but instead a thief caught in the act by a citizen. Previously even when having Zeta supremacy in mind I had to dispose of that asshole for mistreating his slave, but now I actually let him keep the thief as a slave because I won't tolerate thieves in my kingdom. I thought that was it for my chance with the mutants, but surprisingly despite this "elf" gave me a chance and brought me to the bunker. I do want their technology in the bunker to become either mine or benefitting Zeta, but I also have a feeling Queen have couple of secrets in her inventory considering her "dragon" weapon.
So far my vision for factions with Zeta supremacy in mind:
- raiders (co-operation, protecting Zeta trade routes and outposts in exchange for shelter/service)
- mutants (low class citizens with more dangerous/obscene mutations staying wild outside of Zeta territory)
- decayed (manual labor slaves in distant/contaminated territories, all non-domesticated decayed should be destroyed on sight)
- stalkers (become official members of Zeta intelligence/special military agency, open up training school with swearing loyalty as new part of the process)
- wild tribes (receive basic protection from Zeta in exchange for fulfilling annual quotas of food/materials/soldiers/priestesses)
- merchants (either pay a big tax for trading in Zeta territory or establish base of operations in Zeta and giving citizens discount for their goods)
...or something along those lines, I'm not much of a politician.

I'm actually surprise slavery is still mentioned. Now that the game is on steam slavery is a 'NO-NO' potty mouth bad word in the so politically correct world. Also, did you notice that the guy is no longer fat? I wonder if it is for the body positivity or just because they couldn't do a convincing fat body type.
But i think the actual reason for the change is because the so called thief is actually another Elf and the whole point of the scene is Ivy testing the moral stature of Zaton.

NONE of the Ain content is activating. No punishment for her carelessness in the market. No "Day alone with Dad" story content. Can't even get the option of her being there with her mom, or sleep with her options.
Also, the questline for "Keeping the Guard as a Guard" isn't activating. I have to try another playthrough to see if "Turning the guard into a Desert Wanderer" still works.

People, you played a test version with tons of bugs... stop clinging to hope for old saves even from this previous test version. Start a fresh game and you will see that everything works. From that point you can expect your saves to work in the future. If something doesn't work make sure you inspect various setting as there are such things as content filters!
